UQ Dance

UQ Dance UQ Dance is the partner dance group at UQ St Lucia with an emphasis on styles including Swing, Latin, Ballroom, and Jive. Business inquiries welcome.

UQ Dance, a UQ Union affiliated club, is one of UQ's most active clubs. We aren't a group of professionals - just a bunch of students who love to socialize, have fun and shake that tail feather! Everybody is welcomed, and you don't need any experience - you don't even need to bring a partner. We continually rotate dancers so you'll have a chance to meet everyone. Find us outside the Student Union

Building every Wednesday night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. We have a one hour lesson catered for absolute beginners from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by social dancing until 9:00pm.

Our End-of-semester Picnic is coming up! ☀️🧺

Join us on Sunday the 21st of June from 1pm to 5pm at the Kangaroo Point Dance Square for an afternoon of dancing, food, and good company before everyone heads off for the semester break.

Bring along a picnic blanket and some food or drinks to share. Whether you've been coming to UQ Dance all semester or you've only just joined us, we'd love to see you there!

A few ideas of things to bring:
🧺 Picnic blanket
🍉 Food to share
🧃 Drinks (non-alcoholic)
🎲 Card games or outdoor games
🧴 Sunscreen

Most importantly, bring your best dance moves and good vibes! 💃🕺

What a fantastic way to finish off our semester of dance lessons! 🤠💃

A huge thank you to and for an amazing Country Night and Line Dancing lesson. The energy, enthusiasm, and fun atmosphere made for a brilliant final lesson of the semester.
