💚COMMUNITY RAFFLE UPDATE 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Bayside Community Fund Community Raffle by purchasing tickets through Punch With Purpose.

On Wednesday, Coach Leon and PWP committee member Nat attended the live draw and represented PWP alongside the many incredible community organisations involved.

The raffle raised an incredible $107,650 for local community groups, with Punch With Purpose supporters contributing $3,843 towards that total and helping grow the Punch With Purpose fund, which supports athlete development, education, wellbeing initiatives and opportunities for local athletes.

While the prizes have now been claimed, the impact continues. Every ticket purchased through Punch With Purpose helps create opportunities for athletes, supports community programs, and strengthens the pathways we’re building for current and future generations.

A sincere thank you to every person who purchased a ticket, shared the fundraiser, encouraged others to get involved, or supported us in any way.

A huge thank you to Liam Paro for spending time with the boxing community at our Neon Boxing Classic last Saturday. 🥊

From photos and autographs to words of encouragement and genuine conversations, Liam made time for everyone… inspiring the next generation of athletes and reminding young boxers what dedication, humility and hard work look like.

As one of Australia’s finest fighters, Liam is now preparing for another massive moment in his career when he challenges Lewis Crocker for the IBF Welterweight World Title on June 24 in Brisbane.

With the chance to become just the second Australian-born male boxer to win world titles in two weight divisions, we’re proud to have had him share his time with our athletes and spectators.

Thanks again, Liam - we’re all behind you and can’t wait to watch history unfold. 👊🇦🇺

🥊💚WHAT - A - DAY💚

The inaugural NEON BOXING CLASSIC is officially in the books!

450+ hyped-up spectators
88 talented athletes
44 fantastically matched bouts
31 grassroots clubs across Qld
1 former IBF World Champion

And … A fight of the night that had the crowd on its feet and the venue shaking.

What stood out most wasn’t the crowd, the results or even the incredible boxing… it was the atmosphere!

From the first bell to the last, The Link at YMCA was packed with energy, excitement and unwavering support. Athletes gave everything in the ring, supporters filled the venue with noise, and the boxing community came together to create something truly special.

This is exactly what we hoped THE NEON BOXING CLASSIC would be 💚

We witnessed incredible performances, showcase bouts, exclusive NEON medals, ring boys/girls stealing the show with their struts, an incredible raffle, Liam Paro inspiring athletes throughout the evening, and a crowd-favourite main event where Kipa “Tha Ripa” Keremete defeated Australia’s current number one-ranked 70kg boxer in a performance that brought the house down.

A HUGE THANK YOU to every athlete, coach, official, matchmaker, volunteer, sponsor, parent and supporter who helped make this event possible.

A huge thank you to Andrew Jefferson and the team at the Redland Bayside News for helping shine a light on amateur boxing and our upcoming Neon Boxing Classic this Saturday.

From juniors to elites to masters - this event is about giving grassroots boxing the platform it deserves.

Special mention to William “BXR Will” Turnbull being featured in today’s article after earning selection in the Queensland Under 19 State Team 🇦🇺 And fun fact - fellow Neon athlete Maddox “Money Man” McGregor has also recently earned selection in the Queensland Under 19 State Team.

We’re also excited to welcome Australian boxing star Liam Paro for a special guest appearance on the day ahead of his IBF World Title fight in Brisbane on June 24.

🥊 Another Neon athlete officially headed to Nationals 🇦🇺🔥

Huge congratulations to Maddox “Money Man” McGregor on his selection to represent Queensland at the Boxing Australia National School Age Championships, held 8–11 July at the Eagles Sports Complex in Brisbane.

Alongside teammate William Turnbull, Maddox will now don the burgundy Queensland tracksuit and represent both Team QLD and Neon Boxing Academy with pride 👊💚

Maddox is an incredibly skilful young boxer with sharp movement, natural ability and a heart of gold. He’s a valued part of the Neon family and we’re proud to see him earn the opportunity to compete on the national stage against the best young athletes in the country.

Safe to say the aura points have been climbing lately 😮‍💨🔥

Congratulations Maddox. We can’t wait to see you represent Queensland 👊🏽
