Where we are about way more than just dancing, here you will find a whole new social life where you can improve your life through Latin dance and culture. You can begin from the basics with one of our 10wk starter courses available in a variety of Latin dance styles. As well as regular core courses you can enjoy workshops with Rio Rhythmics Instructors, and Interstate and International Instructors

! If you have never danced before, a great place to start is our Saturday Latin Mix Party with a 90min Intro lesson 7 - 8:30pm - every Saturday night! For more than 30 years, Tarcisio has shared his passion for dance, culture and community through Rio Rhythmics, inspiring generations of students and teachers along the way. 💫

His love of dance goes far beyond the steps. It’s about connection, culture, music, learning and, most importantly, bringing people together. That passion continues to be at the heart of Rio and the community he has created. 💜

For so many years, Chantel has been at the heart of Rio, helping to keep the studio running, supporting our students and team, organising countless moving pieces behind the scenes, and always making sure our community is looked after. 🫶

Whether she’s welcoming people into the studio, helping solve challenges, supporting the people around her or bringing an event together, she puts so much care into everything she does. Her love for Rio and the people who make up our community shines through in all the big things and the little things that often happen quietly behind the scenes. 💜

For Tarcisio, sharing dance has always meant sharing more than the steps.

Every dance we teach comes from a different country, community, and history, and understanding where it comes from is part of learning it properly.

The more we understand about a dance's origins, the more we can appreciate what we're actually learning. 💛

Ten Weeks Down, So Much Gained! 💜✨

Our Beginners B classes just wrapped up 10 weeks together, and wow, what a journey! 💃

We learned so much more than steps. We made new friends, got fitter without even realising it, and picked up a genuine love for Latin American culture along the way.

To everyone who showed up week after week, thank you for bringing your energy and making the studio feel like home. ❤️

What a wonderful day celebrating dance, culture and community at Latin Kids Fiesta 2026! 🎉

Tarcisio, our Rio Samba Team and Rio Kids & Teens recently took to the stage at this vibrant multicultural celebration, sharing their love of dance with families from across Brisbane.

Hosted by LatinOz QLD, Latin Kids Fiesta is all about bringing families together to celebrate the richness and diversity of Latin American cultures through music, dance, food, games and traditions, with a special focus on children and future generations.

Our Samba Team brought plenty of energy to the stage, while our Kids & Teens performed a special choreography created by Tarcisio. And, of course, we couldn’t resist getting some of the kids in the crowd up and dancing with us too!

Being part of community events like this means so much to us. They give us the opportunity to share the dances and cultures that are at the heart of Rio, connect with the wider community, and help keep these traditions alive by sharing them with the next generation.

A huge thank you to LatinOz QLD for inviting us to be part of such a joyful celebration and for creating a space where Latin American cultures can be shared, celebrated and enjoyed by everyone. We loved being part of it! 🙏💛
