We had a quick stop for a breath after our 2 day event last weekend at The Valley and now ready to share our action packed winter events.

Next weekend we have the first of our night shoots, with a 3pm start and shooting into the darkened hours, with DTL and 5 stand on offer.

This event is not being run as a competition, just sh*ts and giggles with the fire pots and bbq burning.

Followed by the State Tower Championship being held on the 28th of June.

This event will be shot over 50 singles and 25 pairs.

If you would like anymore information, please send us a message.

Every club has one of those guys that can just make anything possible.

Brendan Bowerman is that guy at Derwent Valley and a man that we are lucky to have calling our club home.

For those that know Bren, just know that he is the most humble legend, good for a laugh and greatest character going around.

Brendon recently shot at the SSAA Nationals and has now earned himself a spot on the national team.

Derwent Valley is proud of Brendan’s achievement and presented him with a cheque to help him on his way.

Do us proud mate, and keep your head on the gun!!

What a night!
Last night was our third annual cracker night and the first that we opened up to the whole community.
It was fantastic to see so many families come along and enjoy our free event.

If you have any photos or videos we would love you to share.
A number of conversations were had last night with people keen to come along to our club and try the sport of clay target shooting.
For those that are interested, please send us a message and we will be in contact.

Both grounds are set, firepots on the range are set, bonfire and fireworks ready to go for Saturday night. Crawf & clarky will be on the bandsaw tomorrow getting the lamb cut up for prizes.

Meat tray and meat pack raffle will be ran over the weekend. All proceeds going straight back into the club to buy things we need upgrading etc so the more support for that the better.

There will be a coolroom trailer at the club over the weekend kindly donated to the club for the weekend by Cooltech Refrigeration for anyone wanting to keep drinks etc cold.

Ray will be at the club by 8:15am Saturday morning for those who have already ordered ammo, aswell as anyone that needs some.

Breakfast will be being served by the food van “Aussie on wheels” this year from 8:30am, followed by lunch both days aswell as Saturday night 5pm-8ish.

we will be starting to shoot both days at 9am-shotgun start. Weather looks like it should hold off for a great weekend of busting clays!
If you haven’t already nominated please do so to make the office ran a bit smoother. See you all Saturday!
