STATE CHAMPIONS AND PROUDLY BROTHERS! 🏉

What an incredible achievement for some of our Brothers girls representing the Sunshine Coast on the big stage at the Queensland School Sport State Championships.

A massive congratulations to Allyra Weier, who was part of the 15–16 Years Sunshine Coast Girls School Sport Team that claimed the Queensland State Championship title on the weekend. The team was outstanding throughout the tournament, finishing with a perfect 8 wins from 8 games, capped off by a dominant 28–5 victory over South Coast in the Grand Final.

To go through an entire state championship undefeated is an incredible effort and a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment shown by the players, coaches and support staff.

We also want to congratulate Zayley Strydom, Mia Zaremba and Luce Lamplough, who proudly represented the Sunshine Coast in the 17–18 Years Girls competition. The girls battled hard throughout the tournament and finished 4th in the Plate Pool, gaining valuable experience and continuing their rugby development against some of the state’s best talent.

At Brothers, we love seeing our players challenge themselves, represent their region and create pathways beyond club rugby. Whether it’s a State Championship medal or simply pulling on representative colours, these opportunities are earned through hard work and commitment.

Congratulations girls. We are incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved and can’t wait to see what’s next for each of you.

The future of women’s rugby at Brothers is bright. 🔵⚪️🔵

🔵⚪️ NEXT UP... SWANS AWAY! ⚪️🔵

After a weekend of sunshine, strong performances and plenty of Brothers spirit on display, it’s time to hit the road again.

Our Senior Men and Women head to Maroochydore this weekend for a massive clash against the Swans. Every trip away presents a new challenge and our teams will be ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

Meanwhile, our junior teams will be flying the blue and white right across the Sunshine Coast, with matches taking place at Caloundra, Gympie, Noosa and Peregian. From our youngest players taking their first steps in rugby through to our senior representatives, every team carries the same badge, the same pride and the same commitment to The Brothers Way.

Whether you’re pulling on the jersey, running the sideline, volunteering behind the scenes or cheering from the hill, you’re part of what makes this club special.

Let’s get around our teams this weekend and show the competition what the Blue Wall is all about.

🔵⚪️ THE FAMILY CLUB ⚪️🔵

Sometimes the best photo from a rugby weekend isn’t a try, a tackle, or a trophy.

It’s this.

Two young supporters sitting on the sideline, watching the game they love, wearing the colours of the club they call home. On the back of that training shirt are the businesses helping make those moments possible.

Every training session. Every game day. Every piece of equipment. Every opportunity for our players to pull on the blue and white is supported by people and businesses who believe in community rugby.

A huge thank you to our Training Shirt Partners:

🏉 Top Cut Foods
🏉 Colliers Sunshine Coast
🏉 CNW Warana
🏉 White Light Electrical
🏉 iGear .com.au
🏉 ToyGear
🏉 Specsavers Morayfield
🏉 Kennards Hire
🏉 Your Mates Brewing
🏉 O2 Performance
🏉 Barlow Shelley Engineering
🏉 Shadforth Civil

Your support goes far beyond a logo on a shirt. You’re helping create memories, friendships, opportunities and experiences for hundreds of players and families across our club.

Because rugby isn’t just about the 15 players on the field. It’s about the supporters on the sideline, the volunteers behind the scenes, the families in the canteen, and the partners who back us every step of the way.

Thank you for helping us remain what we’ve always strived to be...

SCORE CARDS BROUGHT TO US BY RED ROOSTER

It was a weekend of mixed results across our senior program, but one thing remained the same – plenty of Brothers players stood up when their teams needed them most.

Our Women’s team collected the competition points following the USC forfeit, our Cricks boys were involved in a massive clash with Caloundra under lights, Reserve Grade fought their way through another bruising battle, and A Grade dug deep in a tough afternoon against quality opposition.

Across every grade there were players who led from the front, carried hard, tackled harder and embodied what it means to wear the butcher stripes. The scoreboard doesn’t always tell the full story, but effort, commitment and heart never go unnoticed.

Congratulations to this week’s Red Rooster Players of the Round. Week after week these players continue to set the standard through their work ethic, leadership and willingness to put the team first.

A huge thank you to our mates at Red Rooster for supporting our weekly player awards and recognising the performances that help drive our club forward.

🏉💙 A HUGE WIN FOR BROTHERS RUGBY SUNSHINE COAST 💙🏉

We are incredibly excited to announce that Brothers Rugby Club Sunshine Coast has been successful in securing $27,258 through the Queensland Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund, which will allow us to purchase a new state-of-the-art Scrum Machine for our club.

This is a significant investment in the future of rugby at Brothers and will directly benefit players across our entire pathway, from our junior XV’s teams right through to our senior men and women. Providing access to high-quality training equipment helps us continue to develop players, improve safety and create the best possible rugby environment for our members.

A special thank you to Deputy Premier and Member for Kawana, (Jarrod Bleijie MP), for his ongoing support of community sport and for presenting the funding cheque to our club on Saturday. We are incredibly grateful for the support shown to Brothers Rugby and the wider Sunshine Coast sporting community.

This funding is another example of what can be achieved when government, community and sporting organisations work together to create opportunities for local families and young people.

The new Silver Fern Scrum Machine will be a fantastic addition to our growing rugby program and will help support player development for many years to come.

On behalf of everyone at Brothers Rugby Club Sunshine Coast, thank you to Jarrod Bleijie MP, the Gambling Community Benefit Fund and all those involved in making this possible.

The future is bright at The Family Club. 💙🤍

🏉 TEAM OF THE WEEK 🏉

Another massive weekend for The Family Club and another Team of the Week packed with players who embodied what Brothers Rugby is all about.

From our junior XV’s teams flying the flag across the Coast to our senior men continuing to set the standard, this week’s side represents the depth, talent and culture that exists right throughout the club.

Every week our coaches face the difficult task of selecting players who not only performed on the field but represented our values through effort, attitude, teamwork and commitment to their mates. This week’s team is full of players who did exactly that.

A huge congratulations to everyone selected. Whether you’re scoring tries, making tackles, supporting teammates or simply doing the little things right, your contribution does not go unnoticed.

With our Girls 7’s enjoying a well-earned BYE round, our junior XV’s and senior men carried the Brothers banner proudly across the weekend, producing some outstanding performances and moments.

Thank you once again to our volunteers, coaches, managers, trainers, referees and supporters who continue to make weekends like this possible. Team of the Week isn’t just about the 19 players listed. It’s about the entire Brothers family that helps create the environment for them to thrive.

Congratulations to all players selected. 💙🤍

🏉 HOME ROUND IS HERE 🏉
There’s nothing better than a full weekend of rugby at The Barracks.

We kick things off Friday night with our Cricks Cup side taking on Caloundra under lights before a huge Saturday of Brothers rugby. Our junior XV’s will fill the fields throughout the morning, followed by Women’s A Grade, Reserve Grade and A Grade taking on USC in what promises to be a great afternoon of rugby.

While our Girls 7’s enjoy a well-deserved bye round, the rest of the club will be out in force representing the blue and white on home soil.

Home rounds are special. They bring together players, families, volunteers, coaches, supporters and sponsors from right across the club. From our youngest players taking their first steps in rugby through to our senior teams competing for competition points, it’s what being part of Brothers SC is all about.

So get down to The Barracks, support the teams, catch up with mates and help create the atmosphere that makes Brothers Rugby such a special place.

One Club. One Family. One Massive Weekend.
