🔵⚪️🔵 ANOTHER BROTHER TAKING THE NEXT STEP | KOBY KELLAND

A huge congratulations to Koby Kelland on his selection in the Queensland Reds U19 team that took on NSW over the weekend. 🔥

And what a result, with the Reds coming away with a fantastic win!

For everyone at Brothers who has watched Koby’s journey, it is incredibly exciting to see the opportunities now coming his way. The hard work, commitment and effort he continues to put into his rugby is paying off, and seeing him pull on the Queensland jersey is a pretty special moment. It’s another great example for our younger Brothers players of where dedication, development and a willingness to keep working can take you.

We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in Koby’s journey and even more excited to see what comes next.

🔵⚪️ FROM BROTHERS TO THE BRUMBIES | SOLOMON LESLIE

A huge congratulations to former Brothers Sunshine Coast junior Solomon Leslie, who has been selected in the Brumbies U19 side that took on Victoria U20 this Saturday. 👏🔥

Solomon spent a number of his junior rugby years pulling on the Blue & White here at Brothers, and it’s fantastic to see another player who has been part of our junior program continuing to progress through the rugby pathway. These are the moments we love celebrating. Our junior program is about far more than the games being played today. It’s about developing young players, creating opportunities and watching where their rugby journey takes them next.

No matter where that journey leads, it’s always pretty special seeing a former Brother taking the next step.

🔵⚪️ THIS IS WHAT CLUB LOOKS LIKE.

There is something pretty special about these photos.

They were taken during our Reserve Grade Grand Final victory over USC. On one side of the rope, our supporters are watching, waiting, hoping. Then the final whistle goes... and suddenly there is no sideline. 😂

They’re running. They’re celebrating. They’re jumping all over the boys. Players, mates, juniors, seniors, families and supporters all caught up in one incredible moment of pure jubilation, pride and victory.

And that is exactly why these photos mean so much more than a Grand Final.

That Reserve Grade Premiership belonged to the players who took the field, but the moment belonged to an entire club.

It belonged to the juniors standing on the sideline who can now see exactly where the Brothers pathway can take them. To the former juniors already pulling on senior jerseys. To our Women, Girls 7’s and junior teams who created their own incredible moments throughout 2026. To the coaches, managers and volunteers who give so much. To the parents and families who spend their weeks getting players to training and their weekends standing beside rugby fields.

And it belonged to the people who simply love this club.

We talk a lot about pathways at Brothers. They aren’t just about moving a player from juniors into seniors. They’re about creating a club where generations mix, where our younger players grow up knowing our senior players, where teams support teams and where everyone feels part of something bigger than the game they play on Saturday.

That is what you can see in these photos.

The final whistle blows and everyone runs in together.

No divisions. No age groups. No grades.

🔵⚪️ FROM THE SUNSHINE COAST TO BALLYMORE! 🔥

A huge congratulations to four of our U14 Brothers boys who have earned selection in the Queensland Country team to compete at the Queensland Reds Emerging Reds Cup, commencing Monday 21 September.

Another fantastic achievement for these young men and a great reward for the work they have put into their rugby throughout the season. Opportunities like this don’t just happen. They come from countless training sessions, taking on feedback, competing hard, backing yourself and continuing to develop every time you step onto the field.

Now they get the opportunity to pull on the Queensland Country jersey, head to Ballymore and test themselves alongside and against some of the best emerging players in Queensland. We’re incredibly proud to see four Brothers players earning this opportunity and representing our club, the Sunshine Coast and Queensland Country.

🔵⚪️ ANOTHER SEASON TO CELEBRATE ⚪️🔵

What a season for Brothers Rugby Club Sunshine Coast.

Across our juniors, Girls 7’s and senior teams, 2026 has been a year of growth, belief, hard work and some pretty special moments shared across our entire club.

Eight Brothers teams reached the Semi Finals.
U13 XV’s, U14 XV’s, U17 XV’s, Women’s A Grade, Reserve Grade, U12 Girls 7’s, U14 Girls 7’s and U16 Girls 7’s.

From there, five teams earned the opportunity to play in a Grand Final, with our U13 XV’s, U17 XV’s, Reserve Grade, U14 Girls 7’s and U16 Girls 7’s all playing for a Premiership. And three created their own piece of Brothers history.

Three Premierships across Girls 7’s, Junior XV’s and Senior Rugby. An incredible achievement and something our entire club should be proud of.But winning Grand Finals will never be the only measure of success for Brothers.

Success is a U6 pulling on the jersey for the first time. It’s players coming back each year because they love their rugby and their mates. It’s our girls program growing, juniors progressing through the age groups and eventually pulling on a senior jersey. It’s our coaches, managers and volunteers giving their time and families standing on the sidelines every weekend.

The trophies are special, but the biggest victory is seeing what this club continues to become. A place to belong. A place to develop. A place to build friendships. A club where our youngest players can see a pathway all the way through to senior rugby. Juniors. Girls. Women. Men. One Club. One Brothers Family.

Congratulations to our Premiers, every team that represented Brothers in finals and every player who wore the Blue & White in 2026. And thank you to every coach, manager, volunteer, sponsor, supporter and family who made it possible. We celebrate the trophies. We celebrate the teams. But most of all, we celebrate Brothers SC.

What a year. And we’re only getting started. 🔵⚪️

🔵⚪️ STILL RIDING THE HIGH…

Nearly a week on and we’re still not quite over Saturday.

The final whistle. The celebrations. The hugs. The smiles. The players finding their families and mates on the sideline. A whole lot of emotion and the realisation that Brothers had just won its first ever Senior Premiership. 🏆 These photos capture some of those moments, but they also capture something much bigger than one team and one Grand Final.

It takes a village.

We are incredibly proud of our Reserve Grade boys and what they achieved, but we’re just as proud of the entire Brothers family and what we have built together over the past few years. Players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, juniors, seniors and families. So many people have put their shoulder to the wheel, believed in where this club was heading and played their part in getting us here.

Saturday was the boys’ moment, and they absolutely earned it. But seeing the entire club celebrating together afterwards was pretty special. This is what we’ve built. And we’re only getting started.

🔵⚪️FROM JUNIOR PREMIER TO SENIOR PREMIER | RILEY CRAVEN

There are moments that show exactly what a rugby club and its pathways are all about, and Riley Craven gave us one of those moments on Saturday. Years ago, Riley pulled on the Butcher Stripes as part of the team that won Brothers’ first ever U14 Junior Premiership. On Saturday, he pulled them on again and created another little piece of Brothers history, taking the field as part of our first ever Senior Premiership team, with Reserve Grade claiming the 2026 title. 🏆

From celebrating a Junior Premiership with his mates to standing in the sheds years later celebrating a Senior Premiership, Riley’s journey is exactly what we want to see at Brothers. Our juniors become our seniors. Our young players growing up in the Butcher Stripes and one day representing the same club at senior level.

Two historic Brothers Premierships. One player there for both.

Congratulations Riley. A pretty special achievement and a piece of club history that will always be yours.

💙🤍 VOTE FOR ROCHELLE | SCRU VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

We might be a little biased, but we reckon this recognition is incredibly well deserved! Our very own Rochelle Williams has been named as one of the TOP 5 finalists in the 2026 SCRU Volunteer Recognition Program. 🏆

For more than 15 years, Rochelle has given an extraordinary amount of time, energy and heart to Brothers Rugby. Committee member, Secretary, Registrar, Chairman, Manager extraordinaire and plenty of other jobs that probably never had an official title! If something needs doing around Brothers, there’s a pretty good chance Rochelle has either done it, organised it, or made sure someone else knew they were supposed to be doing it. 😂

But more importantly, Rochelle represents what community rugby is all about. She has spent countless hours behind the scenes helping players get onto the field, supporting teams and families, helping run our club and giving back to the game she loves.

Now we need the Brothers Family to get behind one of our own.

💙🤍 MORE THAN A GRAND FINAL | U16 GIRLS 7’s

Our U16 Girls fell just short of the Grand Final win, but they walked away having lost absolutely nothing.

Because sometimes the biggest victories aren’t measured by the scoreboard.

In the two weeks leading into finals, something changed within this group. They found each other again. They reconnected with their why, rediscovered the rugby they wanted to play and reminded themselves what made this team special in the first place.

When finals arrived, we saw a different group. They played with heart, determination and a genuine love for the game, but most importantly, they played for each other.

They trusted the girl beside them. They backed themselves. They competed for every metre and refused to stop believing.

The Premiership may have narrowly slipped away, and there’s no hiding that it hurt. When you've worked that hard and care that much, it's supposed to hurt.

But a Grand Final result doesn't get to define this team or their season.

What they discovered in those final weeks was something far more valuable: what they're capable of when they truly believe in themselves and completely trust the people standing beside them.

That's bigger than one game.

That's something they'll carry into the next season, the next challenge and hopefully long after their junior rugby days are finished.

So hold your heads high, girls. Be proud of how you finished, proud of each other and proud of the team you became when it mattered most.

🔵⚪️ A SEASON TO REMEMBER | U13 XV’s

The story of our U13s started well before the first whistle of 2026. Midway through last year, Deano, Matt and Trav started hatching a plan. A new-look team, a new Head Coach and a new direction. At the first preseason session, 17 players turned up and you could feel the enthusiasm from day one.

As the season unfolded, new combinations became friendships and a group of players became a team. They played for their mates, worked hard for each other and most importantly, genuinely loved playing rugby together.

Under Head Coach Deano and Assistant Coach Matt, their development was incredible. New skills, growing confidence and belief in each other turned this group into a genuine force in the U13 competition.

And all that work took them somewhere pretty special.

🏆 A GRAND FINAL AT SUNSHINE COAST STADIUM.

They took everything they had into the battle against Noosa and came agonisingly close. The result hurt, but it certainly didn’t define their season.

Perhaps the moment that summed them up best happened before they even ran onto the field.

“BROTHERS ON THREE!”

The roar inside those changerooms felt like an earthquake. Goosebumps everywhere. A group of mates completely together and ready to take on one final challenge.

No trophy was needed to tell us what these boys achieved in 2026. They built friendships. They built belief. They built a culture.

And most importantly, they’ve built the foundations for something that’s only just getting started.
