🚨 Fields Closed – No Oztag This Week 🚨

Due to the heavy rain and flooding, our fields are unfortunately closed this week.

This means no Oztag for both Juniors and Seniors on Wednesday and Thursday.

The good news is no games will be lost — we always make sure our seasons run their full schedule and all games will be caught up later in the season.

Thanks for your understanding and we’ll see everyone back on the fields soon once conditions improve. Stay safe! 🌧️

🐋 2026 Senior State Cup Wrap Up – Hervey Bay Humpbacks 🐋

What a fantastic weekend for the Hervey Bay Humpbacks at the 2026 Senior State Cup on the Sunshine Coast!
For the first time ever we had 10 divisions representing Hervey Bay, and the results across the board show just how much our program continues to grow.

🏉 Finals Success An incredible 4 teams made finals, with 3 reaching the Quarter Finals and our 20s Mixed advancing all the way to the Semi Finals!

⭐ Team Highlights

🔥 20s Mixed – Backed up last year’s strong performance with another huge campaign, finishing Semi Finalists after battling through tough wet conditions.

💙 37s Ladies – A remarkable turnaround from no wins in 2025 to making the Quarter Finals this year with 2 wins and 2 narrow losses. They also made history as the first Hervey Bay 37s Ladies team to win games and make finals at State Cup.

💪 20s Ladies – One of the biggest improvements of the tournament, going from last place in 2025 to 4 wins and a Quarter Final berth in 2026.

⚡ 40s Mens – Our 2026 40s squad made history, becoming the first Hervey Bay 40s team to record wins at State Cup.

🏉 20s Mens – Back at State Cup for the first time in 3 years, the boys secured a win and narrowly missed finals, showing plenty of promise for the future.

👏 50s Mens – Another historic moment with Hervey Bay’s first ever 50s Mens team, who also secured a win, becoming the first in this division to record a State Cup victory.

This weekend showed the strength, growth and spirit of the Hervey Bay Oztag community. From our younger divisions to our newest teams, everyone represented the Humpbacks with pride.

💙 Congratulations to all players, referees, coaches and supporters who made the trip and wore the Humpbacks jersey with pride.

The future of Hervey Bay Oztag is looking stronger than ever! 🐋

🐋 Senior State Cup – Day 1 🏉

The Hervey Bay Humpbacks have made the trip to the Sunshine Coast for the 2026 Senior State Cup, and this year we’ve reached a huge milestone!

For the first time ever, Hervey Bay has a record 10 divisions competing at the tournament. An incredible achievement for our club and a testament to the growth and strength of our players.

From our u20s to our most experienced campaigners, the Humpbacks are ready to represent the Bay with pride.

The wait is over! One of the biggest Oztag events in Queensland is here. Teams from across the state – from the Weipa Razorbacks in the north to the Tweed Coast Giants in the south – are coming together for an unforgettable weekend of elite Oztag action.
