Our weekly Meat Raffle proceeds are proudly held in the Bendigo Harness Racing Club Community Chest.

Throughout the year, these funds allow us to give back by supporting local charities and fundraisers that are close to our hearts, and to contribute to the community that continually supports us.

It is only fitting that our first donation goes to Pacing For Pink . As part of the 2026 Pacing for Pink Sponsored Drivers Challenge, participating drivers are working hard to raise vital funds for McGrath Foundation Cancer Care Nurses. These incredible nurses provide expert care and support, free of charge, to individuals and families across Australia affected by any type of cancer.

To support our local drivers, Tayla French and Ellen Tormey, we are proud to donate a total of $1,000 to Pacing for Pink — $500 to each Tayla and Ellen!
Congratulations, ladies — a massive effort from both of you. We are incredibly proud to support you!

World's Best Hoof Oil – Race Recap

I Am Harro, trained and driven by Steve Boyington, delivered a dominant performance in the World’s Best Hoof Oil Trot. With Colleen Boyington as head strapper, the team had the gelding in outstanding condition.

Making his move at the 800m mark, I Am Harro surged clear of his rivals and never looked in doubt, going on to score a confident and impressive win.

The horse is also part-owned by BHRC member Stephen, making the victory even more special for the local connections.

🎉 March Trainer of the Month 🎉
Congratulations to Mary-Jane Mifsud, our March Trainer of the Month, proudly sponsored by Sandhurst Stockfeeds .
Mary-Jane enjoyed an outstanding March with her talented trotter, The Dark Thunder, who delivered an impressive series of performances throughout March. The campaign included a win at Bendigo, followed by two fantastic victories in the Boort Trotters Cup and the Wangaratta Trotters Cup.
After such a successful run, The Dark Thunder is now enjoying a well-earned spell. We haven’t had the chance to catch up with Mary-Jane and head strapper Charlie just yet due to their short break from racing so , in the meantime, congratulations again to Mary-Jane on a terrific achievement!
