Winternationals had some fixed feelings for Marcus. He rode really well through qualifying and ended up 2nd Top Qualifier. Marcus was knocked out in the first round of racing but instead of taking his bat and ball and packing up, he went out of his way to help other racers make sure they were organised and were escorted throughout the event safely. Big congrats to our great mates Jetayah Visser and Lawrence Rashchella Junior Drag Bike A/JB 7333 for making the final, with Lawrence taking the Gold and Jetayah the Silver. Well done to all the competitors in the biggest field of Junior Bikes ever!!!

Thanks for helping to get Marcus there.

In just under a week we will be heading to compete at the 2026 Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway. For Marcus this will be his 3rd Winternats and for me this will be the first time I get to participate after being entered a couple of times over the years and never being able to get there. Mixed results from Sydney. Marcus did an awesome job through qualifying and was able to secure the "Top Qualifier" position, however a sleepy light in Round 1 saw him have to put it all on the line to catch his competitor, which he did, but unfortunately broke out running a 8.57 against his 8.65. The only good news for the Torino was that it went back into the trailer as pretty as it came out. We suffered some gearbox issues in Round 1 which ended the weekend. Bit of extra work now to make sure we are ready for the Winternationals in 4 weeks.

Great weekend at for Rd 1 of the track series and Rd 2 of the Young Guns Junior Drag Racing Series.

The Torino performed well and responded to the small changes we made. Still plenty of bugs to sort out but we are making good progress.

Marcus won all 3 of his qualifiers and was awarded Top Qualifier, he then went on to win all 3 rounds on racing. Well done to Jimmy on taking the win over Marcus in the final running a 9.001 on a 9.00 dial in and Marcus right there in one of the closest races I've seen with Marcus running a 8.81 on a 8.80 dial in.

After Benaraby was rained out, we turned and headed south to Warwick. Marcus came away with 3 wins in the finals to take the overall win for the first Young Guns 4 round series and first round of Warwicks track series. Marcus also turned his start line form around and Top Qualified with a 0.036 reaction.

We ironed out the 2 step issue we were having with the Torino and made those big tyres do their job. Still working on fine tuning a few bugs but that's what we expected after all this time. We both went back into the trailer in 1 peice and are excited for what comes next!!
