McCosker Gladstone Speedway is located in Benaraby, within the CQ Motorsports complex and only 30 minutes south of Gladstone, the track was built by club member and super sedan fanatic, Bob McCosker, along with his team at McCosker Contracting and the support of an amazing team of volunteers, club members and local businesses to bring this facility to our region.

Here’s everything you need to know for a smooth and enjoyable night ...

GATES OPEN — 2.00PM
Allow time to enter, park and scan your tickets.

DRIVERS WALK — 4.00PM
Be seated for the opening ceremony and Drivers Walk as your racing heroes make their way through the spectator mound — giveaways may be coming your way!
RACING STARTS!

PARKING
Please follow the spectator parking map and expect traffic delays. Drive safely and be respectful to other motorists.

The CQ Motorplex will assist with parking. A gold coin donation is requested to support their club.

PROGRAMS — $5
Available at the Ticket Box, soft drink stall and bar. Prepaid programs can be collected on entry.

SEATING
Limited grandstand seating is first in, best dressed. Bring a fold-up chair or blanket. No marquees permitted.

FOOD & DRINKS
A range of local food and drink vendors will be operating across the spectator mound.

ALCOHOL
The bar accepts cash & EFTPOS.
🚫 BYO is strictly prohibited, including in the pits.
Alcohol must remain within the designated licensed area. Children are welcome in the bar area when accompanied by a supervising adult.
QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol laws apply — ID may be required.

SMOKING
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas shown on the map.

RUBBISH
Please use the Containers for Change and general waste bins provided.

EVENT TIMELINE
2.00PM — Gates Open
4.00PM — Opening Ceremony, National Anthem & Racing Starts
Drivers Walk
Racing Starts
7.45PM — Interval / Pit Walk (time permitting)
10.00PM — Racing Concludes

PIT WALK
The pits will open to all spectators during the Pit Walk — no pit pass required! Meet the drivers and get up close to the cars.

Enclosed shoes are required at all times. When the Pit Walk finishes, please return promptly to the spectator area so racing can resume.

PLEASE REMEMBER
Our team is made up of hardworking VOLUNTEERS who are here for the love of racing and our community.

Please be kind, respectful and enjoy an incredible night at the Speedway.

This Saturday night we’re firing up the BBQ and putting on a Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser to help raise funds for the Gladstone Auto Club! 💙💛

We’ll be set up near the Softdrinks Hut, alongside all our other fantastic food vendors, so there’ll be plenty of options to grab a feed.

Every sausage, drink and purchase helps support our club and the work we do to keep speedway going in our community.

🍻 MORE ROOM TO RELAX TRACKSIDE! 🍻

We’ve been busy over the off-season making improvements at McCosker Gladstone Speedway — including a bigger licensed bar area for our spectators!

The extended licensed area now takes in more grandstand seating and a larger section of the grass hill, giving you more room to settle in, enjoy the racing and have a cold refreshment or two responsibly.

And yes — families are welcome in the licensed area, with children permitted when accompanied and supervised by an adult.

It’s all about making race night more comfortable and enjoyable for our spectators while keeping the great family atmosphere we love at the Speedway.

So grab your spot, enjoy a cold one and get ready for another season of racing under the lights!

It was great to see so many of you there, and we really appreciate your support for the club.
