Today our mighty panthers are hosting the formidable Forbes magpies which will be one of the contest of the year.

The contest today comes after a week where both Bathurst and Forbes communities are coming to the terms with the passing of Mandy Griffiths and Hayden Bolam.

Their passing is a reminder of how precious the time we have is and for that reason cherish the moments with loved ones.

The games will be played hard, fast, with a little aggression just the way Hayden and Mandy would have liked. Communities coming together to support each other.

Our condolences and love for both families and for all those that are impacted, Hayden and Mandy will forever be remembered ❤️❤️

Today was a special day for the Bathurst Panthers, with local juniors Eli Pangas and AJ Katoa making their First Grade debuts. Both boys played exceptionally well and should be incredibly proud of their performances. It's always great to see local talent progress through the ranks and earn their opportunity at the top level.

A special mention also to the Wellington Cowboys. Despite the challenges they have faced, they continue to turn up each week and compete with pride and determination. It is a credit to everyone involved in the club, from the players to the committee and volunteers. We have nothing but respect for your efforts and commitment to rugby league.

Best of luck to Wellington for the remainder of the season, and thank you for a great day of footy. 🏉👏
