On Monday June the 1st at 6am two of our WPL players, Ethan and Austin Comerford, along with a few of their mates will head off from the Bathurst Court House on a challenge to run from Bathurst to Newcastle.
They’re doing it to raise awareness for Mental Health, encouraging conversations and raising funds for The Black Dog Institute. So, let’s show our support and get behind these young men by donating using the QR code or by clicking the link https://bathursttonewcastle.com.au or by simply following them on Instagram
If you’re around, it would be fantastic to see some friendly faces at the Courthouse to cheer them off as they begin this amazing effort!

Bathurst District Football Inc conducted a field inspection of the training grounds at Police Paddock at 12pm today.

Fields 17 18 and 20 are very wet and not suitable for use. 2/3 of Fields 16 and 19 are also not ok.

There are some dry areas but these correspond with areas that are not very well lit.

Given that we are still early in the season, and that there is still substantial rain forecast for the rest of the week it has been decided to close Police Paddock for training for the rest of the week.
The lights have been turned off.

A final inspection of fields for games at Proctor Park this weekend will be held later Friday afternoon, and if needed at 6.45am Saturday morning with notice on Facebook to be posted approximately 7.30am

Last Saturday the .bathurst sponsored Bathurst 75 WPL team travelled to Dubbo to play the defending Premiers Dubbo Macquarie.
With both teams having very different teams to last years grand final there was a bit of the unknown around the game.
After a tentative first 20 minutes 75 scored first through Josh Brown and a further goal to Josh Cambey gave the blues a 2-0 halftime lead.
A dominant 2nd half resulted in further goals to James Christie, Steve Long, Nick Press and Ethan Comerford resulting in a comfortable 6-0 win.
