Bathurst Panthers Squash Club operates as a sub-club of Panthers Leagues Club. The club has been in operation continuously for over 50 years and has produced some fine squash athletes. Use of the squash courts is available to all members of Panthers with a small court hire fee, payable at the front desk. Memberships to the Squash Club are renewed annually, and that membership includes unlimited us

e of the courts during Panthers normal operating hours. The squash club operates multiple local competitions throughout the year, with the most popular (and strongest skill level) being the Monday and Wednesday evening competitions. Other competitions include the Monday and Thursday morning competitions. Panthers Squash Club hosts annual squash tournaments in the facilities, including the renowned Bathurst Open (October) and Bathurst Masters. These competitions are open to the general public, and you do not have to be a member of squash club or Panthers to participate. As the only squash club in Bathurst, it has continued to go from strength to strength over the years. Club membership numbers are healthy, and all competitions are run smoothly and with good numbers. Although no longer in its hey-day of the 80s, squash is widely known as one of the most physical sports going around. The legendary Don Bradman was an avid squash player, and so skilled that he operated ambidextrously to avoid needing a backhand. For those wishing to participate in local competitions or tournaments, please feel free to visit the club on either Monday or Wednesday evenings. Club committee members are on site from 4.30pm - 8.30pm on those nights, and can set you up in competitions.

It is with much sadness to report that John Fuller (David Fuller’s Father) passed away this last week.
For those who have stayed at the Fuller household in Bathurst and enjoyed the hospitality and company, you were always made very welcome for the various Squash tournaments over the years.
John and Joan Fuller made the Friday Night arrival BBQ and happy hour (s) much appreciated after a long drive from home.
On behalf of all members of NSW Squash family we pass on our condolences to Dave and his family at this time.

Hi guys, just a last minute reminder to make sure if you want to play next comp to get your name down at the squash club tonight. We are hoping to finalise the draw over the weekend or early next week.
Also if you are a new player (or an existing player who has had more than 2 comps off) and wish to play next comp, tonight is your last opportunity to be graded so please make your way down between 5:30- 6:30 tonight.
As always I would like to take the opportunity to thank Alisha, Andrew and Michelle for their help with grading and the draw. Without these guys it wouldn't be anywhere near the comp it is.

Hello everyone, we are currently taking players for the next Monday and Wednesday night competitions commencing Monday 21/3 and Wednesday 23/3. Monday night comp is FULL and we have only 4 spots left for the Wednesday Comp.

If you wish to play please get your name to Daniel ASAP. As always it will be first in first served so please don't dilly- dally.

On an important side note, if you have not paid your squash club membership which was due on 1 March we CANNOT put you in the comp.
All entries into the competition will be cross checked with your membership so even if you have put your name down already you will be left out of the next competition if you haven't paid before the comp numbers are finalised.

Squash club membership is $70 for the year and is payable to the Panthers
Squash Club either by bank transfer or cash on a Monday or Wednesday night.

The squash committee would like to thank all those people who have already paid their membership and really encourage anyone who hasn't already paid to please do so to avoid being left out of the next comp.

Cutoff date to let us know is this Tuesday 29 December, as we are hoping to get the draw out ASAP so anyone going away over the holidays will have time to organise reserves or play early matches.
If you have already let us know please ignore this post and continue with your festivities unfettered.

Hi guys,

Just a quick reminder about the 50th reunion dinner which is being held on Saturday the 8th August upstairs at Bathurst Panthers.
The reunion will double as the presentation night for the 2015 Club Championships held recently.
Tickets are $50/ head or you can book a table of 10 for $500. Ticket cost includes a 3 course meal and live entertainment.
Tickets can be purchased at Spencer Fuller and Associates in Rankin Street. Tables are limited and bookings close strictly on 31/7/15. If you intend to go please book ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Hi guys, hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. Just a quick reminder to let you all know that the new Monday and Wednesday night comps start this week. Hopefully everyone who is playing received the new draw and ladder via email. Those that haven't received it for some reason please see me tonight or Wednesday and I will ensure you get a copy.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Michelle Brasier for all her help once again in organising the draw and ladder and to Alisha Pollard for organising the new email mailing list and ensuring that the new ladder and draws get out to everyone (hopefully).

Finally please remember if you are unable to play on the night of the comp you can either arrange to play early (if this suits your opponent), and advise the club of the result or you can organise a reserve to play your match for you. Please remember it is up to YOU, the individual to organise someone as a reserve and it's also up to you to advise your opponent and your captain of the arrangement. Please remember that even though you are on the court by yourself you are still part of a team so don't let them down by forfeiting a match because you are too lazy to organise a reserve.

That is the conclusion of my rant for now. I hope you all have another enjoyable year of squash ahead. Good luck and play well.
