Sharon has been the heart and soul of our club for 25 years, a truly valued life member whose impact reaches far beyond the field. As a dedicated coach and mentor, she has guided, supported, and inspired countless players and families over the years. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering commitment reflect not only her passion for the club, but also the care she shows as a loving mother and proud nana. Congratulations to one of our fortnightly Local Sporting Stars - Sharon Barrett.
Sharon has been a part of Australind Basketball for over 25 years - including currently as a coach, Vice President, Carnival Coordinator, Referee, and Referee Coach and Mentor.
As well as her volunteer work in Australind, she's made a contribution to high performance and youth basketball across our State.
Sporting clubs have such an impact in our regional communities and it's selfless volunteers that keep them running.
We recently launched Local Sporting Stars in partnership with Spudshed, SportWest and The West Australian to recognise our incredible sporting volunteers across the State like Sharon.
