🚌 THREE BUSES. NO EXCUSES.

Grand Final day tomorrow. Buses run from the club to Nerang — nothing to book,
just turn up at The Castle.

⏰ OUT — 9:30am · 10:30am · 1:30pm
🏠 HOME — first back 5:00pm, second 5:45pm (or as soon as it's back from the
first drop)

A few things have changed at the ground, so read the rest:

🚌 Buses drop off on the MAIN ROAD. There's no room for them to enter or turn
around, so it's a short walk in from there.

🎟️ ENTRY IS $10 PER PERSON. Children under 16 free. Bring cash.

🚫 NO BYO. Security will be checking bags. Bar and canteen are on site.

🚗 DRIVING? Park at Roosters and walk through. There's no parking in the
clubhouse car park — it's a drop-off area for team gear only, and parking at
the ground is very limited.

🔴 We've been given an allocated Knights supporters area — far side of Field 1.
Nerang have asked clubs to gather together, so let's do that and make some
noise from one spot.

GRAND FINAL DAY. 🗡️

Third grade kick off the day at 11am. This crew have been building all season and they have the opportunity to finish it. The in form Sam Takai pulling the strings at Fly half with the club legend Max Dempsey distributing at halfback, big boys Kimi and Trent front up in the centres as the teams wrecking balls and the bench is stacked, so if it comes down to the last 20, these boys are ready to finish strong!

First grade follow at 3pm and there’s plenty in this contest. Club stalwart Lesi Tawake leads the front row along with Jake Allen and the Italian Stallion Alex Artuso. The link, Tyler Maxwell running the show at 9 with the playmaking Elliot Bryers back in the starting team. The bash brothers, Junior Foaitua and Denzel Sofeni-Calder in the centres ready to do some damage and skipper Jason Beeton anchoring it at fullback. Bench full of X-factor, always hissing and will be ready to come in and cause damage.

Teams are finalised and the boys have had one of the best weeks of prep at the castle since we can remember. Bodies are strong, boys are hissing and ready to rock and roll.

⚔️ SUPPORT LOUD. SUPPORT HARD. KEEP IT RESPECTFUL.

GCDRU has written to every club ahead of tomorrow's Grand Finals. We're
passing it on in full, because it applies to all of us.

"Clubs are responsible for the behaviour and conduct of their players, team
officials, members and supporters. The Rugby Australia Code of Conduct and
Three Strike Policy apply throughout the competition including Grand Finals.
Clubs are expected to actively manage their members and supporters and take
reasonable steps to prevent inappropriate behaviour."

That covers behaviour directed at opposition players, team officials,
referees, volunteers, ground staff and spectators.

🔴 GROUND MARSHALS AND SECURITY will be monitoring the venue throughout the
day. Any behaviour considered offensive, threatening or inappropriate will be
addressed, including:

• Loud or aggressive behaviour
• Foul or abusive language
• Abuse or intimidation of players, officials or spectators
• Racial vilification or discriminatory comments
• Homophobic or other derogatory comments
• Anything that compromises the safety or enjoyment of others attending

🔴 Spectators identified as engaging in unacceptable behaviour may be removed
from the venue. Further action may also be taken against the club and/or
individuals under the Code of Conduct and Three Strike Policy.

That's their message and we back every word of it.

Get down to Nerang tomorrow, get behind both sides and make some noise. Just
remember the referees, the touch judges, the ground marshals and the people in
the canteen are volunteers who gave up their Saturday so two teams could play
a Grand Final.

If someone near you is going too far, don't take it on yourself — find a
committee member or a Ground Marshal and let them handle it.
