Southport Soccer Club PH: (07) 55 396 475 Hello to all from the Southport Soccer Club. We are a local club bringing the world game to the Ashmore community.

This brings with it a lot of work for the Committee and volunteers. We endeavour to run the club as a business, staying financial and meeting our corporate governance commitments whilst keeping the small club feel and community friendly environment. Our aim is to provide the opportunity for players to participate in a team sport, to build a family orientated Club and to foster a sense of pride and achievement in being part of a team. We plan on catering to all standards and to improve skill level in all players through dedicated coaches. The future of our Club is the juniors, so we need to develop them into being the senior players of tomorrow. We, as the Board, welcome all members. We encourage feedback and communication and we look forward to another great year.

Our Under 6 teams wrapped up the weekend competing at the Premier Invitational "Mini's", with an awesome turnout of four Southport teams hitting the fields!

A special shoutout to our U6 Blue team, who made it all the way to the Grand Final, going down 2–0 in a close game. 👏⚽

A huge day for our littlest Warriors, and we couldn’t be prouder of every one of you for getting out there, having fun and giving it your all!

Continuing our winning weekend! 💚🤍

Saturday morning saw our U14s take on Ormeau in another huge Grand Final.

It was a less-than-ideal start, with Ormeau scoring from the kick-off, putting the boys on the chase against a quality Ormeau side.

But Southport fought hard and never gave up, with Chriss finding the equaliser just three minutes later. Ormeau hit back again, but Thomas found the back of the net to bring it back to 2–2 at half time.

A half-time reset saw Thomas strike again in the 48th minute, scoring what would prove to be the winner. From there, the boys defended like mad and held on to get the W! 💪⚽

This is a team that has fought hard all season, digging deep when it mattered most and taking the Premiership in the final game of the season, before carrying that momentum into the Championship. 🏆🏆

A massive shoutout to their coaching staff, Chris and Morgo, and captain Oscar, who have all done an excellent job leading this group throughout the season.

The future is bright at Southport! 💚🤍

A weekend to remember! 💚

We kicked things off on Friday night with our U16 Grand Final against Tallebudgera.

A tough first half battle saw the score locked at 0–0 at half time, before an absolute cracker from Lucas Ray from 45 metres out opened the game up. From there, the boys found their stride, finishing 3–0 winners at full time. 🔥

A massive congratulations to this team, who have gone through the entire season undefeated and secured the Premiership & Championship double! 🏆🏆

What an incredible season from a fantastic group of players!

⚽️ 2027 WOMEN'S SEASON — EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST NOW OPEN! 💚

2026 set the standard. Now it’s time to raise the bar even higher in 2027. 🔥

We’re expanding our women’s football program in 2027 and looking to build on the growth, success and momentum of 2026.

We’re calling for Expressions of Interest across:

🟢 U16–U18 Women
🟢 Senior Metro Women
🟢 QPL3 Women

Developing strong pathways for female players is a key focus for 2027. Female players who have turned 16 are invited to submit an Expression of Interest for our senior women’s teams, providing an opportunity to progress into senior football.

Our senior metro women’s team will also work closely with our QPL3 women’s team, creating a strong connection between the two programs and providing players with opportunities to develop, train and challenge themselves at the next level.

2026 showed what’s possible when talent, commitment and a strong club culture come together - and we’re ready to take the next step. 💪

What a weekend for our Junior Competitive teams!

A huge congratulations to all four teams who took to the field and gave it everything in their Semi-Finals:

🟢 U16 Div 1 - WIN 3–1
A fantastic performance to secure their place in the Grand Final! 💪

🟢 U15 Div 2 — LOSS 0–3
A tough result, but their season isn’t over yet! The boys are back at home this Saturday at 9am for their Preliminary Final against Nerang.

This is their chance to fight for a spot in the Grand Final - so it’s time to get behind the boys! 📣💚🤍
