A few days pedalling the Great Ocean Road with Sam Newton and friends. Torquay to Lorne and back. Bikes loaded, tents packed, a few pickleball games along the way and 225km in the legs. Not a bad way to spend a few days outside 🚲⛺️

“Can a business grow too fast?” Turns out, yes… And we learned that lesson the hard way.
An early runaway success is every founder’s dream. But when stock runs low, and cash flow dries up, too much success too early can turn into a nightmare.
Even after 7 years of doing Zorali, we still find it tricky to strike the balance between keeping bestselling favourites in stock, and investing in development of new gear.
Two things we’ve learned: smaller product runs mean less waste. And slowing down helps you keep the bigger picture in sight.

“How the heck did you two build Zorali?” Well, here’s a series just for you !!

Unlike most 7-year-olds, we’re spending Zorali’s seventh birthday reflecting on how far we’ve come. And how we pulled off this most unlikely of adventures.

With no trail map, we’ve relied on our wits, instincts, plenty of late nights, and a community that’s become our rock.

A note from the road 🇳🇵

Three months ago, SAFIN CLARK and WIL SELBY rolled out of Singapore with a slightly wild plan: to bikepack 20,000km to the UK.

Now, 4,000km and six countries in, Saf is writing from Kathmandu.

There have been thousands of hands shaken, brutal humidity, chaotic border crossings—and brakes giving out at 2,000 metres.

But the hardest part hasn’t been physical.

In three months, they’ve spent just two nights in their tent. Instead of the wild places they imagined, much of the journey has unfolded through cities, noise and constant movement. It’s made Saf realise just how much he relies on nature to feel like himself.

From Kathmandu, they’re turning northwest towards the Himalayas—and the stillness they’ve been missing. 🏔️
