ABGC: June Tournament Dinner - Thank you

Dear Club Members,

On behalf of the Louise Russell, the Board and all members, I'd like to thank Sally Cannon, Jane Johnston and Patrick Rink, and a huge team of helpers, for a wonderful dinner event on Sunday 7th June as part of our annual June Tournament.

It was attended by around 80 members, visitors, friends, and family, who were treated to a 3-course meal (Pumpkin Soup, Chicken or Beef Bourguignon, and choice of Desserts). It was so pleasing to see the dinner well-supported (a sell out) and the Clubhouse filled with conversation, fun and laughter. The photograph below shows the energy and intensity of the kitchen, where Sally and Jane were assisted by a team of helpers. Sally has just confirmed a significant donation to the Club from Sunday night's dinner; thank you to everyone involved in this event.

The Tournament was hugely successful under Louise's leadership ably assisted by Patrick Rink and Vicki Hannah, our captains. We hope to have a separate report on the results of the Tournament later. Many thanks must go to Louise Russell, who tirelessly planned and then executed such a seamless Tournament together with a large cadre of volunteers across all aspects of the Event.

ABGC: June Tournament 2026 - Sunday Dinner (7th June. 6.30pm)

Dear Club Members,

On behalf of Louise Russell, our Tournament Organiser, I'd like to encourage you to register and attend the June Tournament Dinner, which will be held on Sunday June 7th, from 6.30pm. We are grateful to Sally Cannon, Jane Johnston and Patrick Rink for organising this popular dinner again this year - after a 'rest' last year.
