Another great weekend for the Peaks with 3/3 Wins!

The A’s just keep on getting the job done, to maintain their hold on top spot.
Ollie Douglas was superb taking 5/38 to help restrict Denmark to 175.
Alby Berridges wonderful season continued with a fine 80no, and with the help of Ryan Kinnears 43, the Peaks rolled home with 12 overs to spare.

B Grade travelled to Denmark and after a solid start from openers Neil Jones 36 and Bryce Durack 25, were troubled through the middle overs batting first.
After finishing on 146, Brendon Pollard 5/15 and Owen Smith 4/26 ripped the heart out of the Magpies batting order, rolling the locals for only 59.

One of the great joys in country cricket, is seeing fathers playing a game with their sons or daughters. And that trend continued out at Proctor yesterday with Pierre Bailey playing with his son Lewis. PB is a long time Greenrange local, so we will claim the pair of them as Peak boys. Lewis has shown great form this season in the C Grade, and along with Harrison Woithe and Nicholas Hams the youngsters bowled beautifully to reduce Denmark to only 106.

Great to see a maiden 50 in the seniors for Jayden Wood who batted beautifully, and also to Brock Kinnear continuing on with his game winning performance in the U/17s last Thursday, with 15no and Lewis Bailey 10no, C grade winning by 4 wickets - the future is very bright for the club.

Debutants!

Lost in amongst the excitement of Nicky’s A Grade debut was the fact that young Oskar McSweeney was also making his first A Grade appearance.
Oskar has had a fantastic summer, scoring runs aplenty and improving each week. Top scoring for the B grade side on Saturday with 53no, and making his first runs in the A’s yesterday. Well done mate, no doubt the first of many A Grade games 👏

The great Nicky Bickford has also been improving in each of his seasons for the club thus far, and was unlucky not to have career best bowling figures on Saturday in the C’s. A cult hero at the club, it was very fitting to see him snare his first A Grade wicket yesterday with the last ball of the innings- looking forward to many more appearances in the baggy gold!

The A’s had a solid weekend, with 2 victories.
Saturday saw them chase down Coll Parks 189, with Tom Leaver top scoring with 68. Kane Pinney taking 3/31

And in yesterday’s T20, they beat Denmark by 27 runs with Regan Poetts 37 leading the way. Ryan Kinnear taking 3/9.
The lads well placed at the top of the table heading towards finals.

B Grade had a tight finish against Royals, sneaking across the line by 3 wickets chasing 180 for victory.
As mentioned above, Oskar McSweeney top scoring with 53no and Rory Sutherland taking 3/28.

And the C grade recorded a 133 run victory against Sharks with the highlight being Captain Mat Thompsons first ton, bringing up triple figures on the last ball of the innings having batted for all 40 overs 👏
Jayden Wood with great figures of 4/4
