Albany has always been a great track, unfortunately never finished a final there, the day will come.

Was racing KA senior champ this weekend, trying to get into a more competitive class. Unfortunately first run was difficult with the kart just not quite gelling with the track and my lack of confidence on track after disappointing results from practice left us back of the pack for the weekend.

Quali: 19/19 couldn’t find that grip to bring me into the 44s
Heat 1: 17/19
Heat 2: 17/19
Heat 3: 17/19
Final: DNF (last lap 🤦‍♀️)

With the weather being a bit temperamental on Sunday we didn’t have a solid choice of tire till last minute leaving us with a rush to get karts on the grid, made the right choice in tire but set up was a bit narrow. All weekend we struggled with that little bit of grip but was a fun start to racing KA again.

I want to thank Nathan Lee for the inspiration, unfortunately we both didn’t get results we were hoping for yet he never gave up which gave me that kick I needed to not drop the head every race.
Thanks Shane (Lee Motor Sport) for working hard on both our karts all weekend, always grateful for your knowledge!
Kellie, Snowy, TSC/ KARTSTAR and CRS Racing (CS this weekend) for the laughs, can’t go away and it not be boring thanks to you guys!

I want to also congratulate Ava on her first away meet podium, so happy for you!!

First time back in the seat since November last year, what a wicked run!

Midwests triple crown was an up and down weekend but definitely didn’t disappoint for being out of the seat for so long.

Day one
Quali: P12
Final: P9

Day two
Quali: P12
Heat 1: P15
Heat 2: P13
Final: P16

Definitely had the pace just with getting bumped on the start or going that little bit too wide around the outside just set me back during races. Got a 5 second penalty for contact under a yellow light which also sent me backwards overall with being stuck behind the slower drivers.
Other than that it was a great weekend seeing all my fellow drivers and mates. Thank you to Lee Motor Sport (Shane) for the bringing the kart and a wicked engine down and putting a great kart in the grid for me! Nathan, Kellie and Snowy and the CRS Racing crew for the laughs, forever grateful for you guys!

Last weekend in Albany was a tough but a fun weekend.
Here’s my results~

Quali- P17/18
Heat 1- 14/18
Heat 2- 14/18
Heat 3- 12/18
Final- DNF

Practice Friday started off with re learning the track and finding pace. By my last session before it rained I was just under a second off pace. We worked on the kart to try find a solution by bringing the wheels in only to find the front kingpins were moving my fronts so wheel alignment was way out of whack.

Quail I went in with a positive mindset to find out that rear grip was lacking. Still had fun though.

Heat 1&2 we just put in some laps making up those points to start better in the final. Doing little changes to rears and wheel alignments between heats.

Heat 3 on the Sunday people were spinning out left right and centre, still had no rear grip but was just fighting to keep my position.

Final. Was disappointed that I let people get into my head leaving me doing something stupid on the start going wide around everyone, clipped a corner, spun out, taking out two of the field.
