This is how good our senior horses should look!

Meet Penelopy and Sonny Boy, both in their late 20s and still going strong. These two golden oldies are proof that with proper nutrition, regular care, veterinary attention, and lots of love, horses can continue to live happy, healthy, active lives well into their senior years.

Penelopy remains one of our trusted trail leaders, while Sonny Boy continues to enjoy life with the same enthusiasm he's always had. Their bright eyes, healthy condition, and willingness to work are a testament to the care they receive and the special place they hold in our hearts.

Senior horses have given us a lifetime of memories, lessons, and companionship. They deserve the very best in return. Watching these two thrive reminds us that growing old doesn't mean slowing down—it simply means having more stories to tell.

Meet Faith – The Queen of the Herd!

Faith is our trusted lesson pony and a firm favourite with the children. With her kind heart, patient nature, and years of experience, she has helped many young riders build their confidence and fall in love with horses.

When it comes to the herd, Faith is the boss! She has a strong personality and naturally takes on the role of herd leader, making sure everyone knows their place. While she enjoys being in charge, she is incredibly gentle and caring with her little riders.

Out on the trails, Faith is about as relaxed as they come. She prefers to take life at her own pace and is never in a hurry, but she still makes every ride fun with her cheeky personality and steady nature. She's the type of pony who will happily look after her rider while enjoying a leisurely adventure.

Whether she's teaching a beginner their first riding skills, leading the herd, or making children laugh with her quirky character, Faith is a much-loved member of the Coastal Equestrian family.

Meet Hope – Power, Personality & Adventure!

Hope is one of our strong, stocky mares with a personality as big as her heart. She is confident, forward-going, and always ready for an adventure, making her a fantastic partner for experienced riders who enjoy a horse with a little spark and plenty of character.

While Hope can be a bit spicy at times, she is honest, willing, and loves having a job to do. Her strength, sure-footedness, and enthusiasm make her perfectly suited to our beach trail rides, where she gets to stretch her legs and enjoy the open spaces of the beautiful West Coast.

Hope isn't the type of horse to simply follow the crowd—she likes to have an opinion and keeps her riders smiling with her bold and spirited nature. Beneath that feisty exterior is a loyal mare who forms strong bonds with those who understand and appreciate her unique personality.

Meet Tessa 🤎

One of the younger mares in our herd, Tessa is currently learning the ropes of becoming one of our future trail leaders. She can still be a little nervous at times, but with every ride she grows in confidence and learns something new.

Behind her soft eyes is a mare with the sweetest heart and so much love to give. Tessa reminds us that not every horse starts out brave — sometimes the kindest souls simply need patience, trust, and time.

Watching her journey and growth has been something truly special. 🐴✨
