RKC Dojo

SHIN, or HONESTY, is one of the 5 virtues of the GOJYOU,  a guild for behavior in the dojo, and a path for personal development.  Based on Confuciusism, these virtues are represented by the 5 pleats at the front of the hakama.  

To help out younger Kendo members learn these virtues, a series of videos have been created! 

This is the 1st of 6 videos, and will be released weekly, hosted on YouTube,  and have links to these on our website!

KENDO, the Japanese art of the (bamboo) sword! "SHIAI" is the competition aspect of kendo, and allows competitors to both showcase their swordskills and work on their mental and emotional fortitude!
