The Old Slipway or 6 Pillars as the surfers call it is our primary shore diving training site. It was built in in 1903 and was used until 1939. Since then the six pylons and metal structures that remains have become overgrown with soft corals, red bait and anemones. There is plenty of juvenile fish and the occasional crayfish and octopus to see.

The gentle slope and shallow depth is perfect for the 1st training dive for RAID Open Water.

We managed to get a 46 minute dive in before the wind arrived and was it worth it! Well done JR Koleskey and Jaco Kotze! Great RAID Open Water training dive done.

Fun weekend at ELITE SCUBA!
Congratulations to JR and Jaco who completed their RAID Open Water pool sessions and are now ready for then ocean dives!

Welcome back to Clinton and Valentina who started their RAID Explorer 30 course this weekend. Pool sessions done as well and ready for their dives!
Next weekend is a long weekend, hopefully we can have fun in the sea! Holding thumbs for good weather 👌

Busy, fun training day at ELITE SCUBA!
