One of the biggest mistakes aspiring coaches make is believing they need a different coaching style for every type of client.
They don't.
They need a better understanding of coaching.
Whether you're working with a young athlete chasing performance, a busy professional improving their health, or an older adult building strength and confidence, the coach's responsibility remains the same: assess the individual, understand their needs, and apply the right principles.
The exercises may change.
The loads may change.
The goals may change.
But good coaching doesn't.
At PTP, we don't teach coaches to memorise programmes for different populations.
We teach them how to think, how to observe, and how to make informed coaching decisions that can be applied to anyone who walks through the door.
Because great coaches aren't defined by who they coach.
They're defined by how well they coach.
