An InBody scan details what your body is made up of. Your weight is so much more than just your mass, and it’s not an accurate representation of your state of health.

When I do an InBody scan, the first three numbers I look at are:
⭐Body fat percentage
⭐Visceral fat
⭐Skeletal muscle mass

This tells me how much fat your body contains and how much fat you have to lose. It also tells me how much visceral fat you need to burn to avoid health complications, and how much muscle you have, which indicates how much more muscle you need to build.

After that, I’ll explain the rest of the InBody report and offer guidance and personalised nutrition and fitness plans to help you reach your goals.

It's common to gain some weight during winter, because of what we eat and how little we exercise.
Here are a few reasons why you might gain weight:
⭐Comfort Foods. When you’re cold, you want heavy, calorie-dense comfort foods.
⭐Biology. Our bodies are designed for survival, like storing energy during cooler months.
⭐It’s Cold! The cold weather means we don’t want to go outdoors and exercise.

What To Do?
Exercise indoors!
It will help warm you up and keep the weight off.
⭐March in place with high knees or jog on the spot
⭐Body weight exercises: crunches, sit-ups, leg raises, planks, push-ups, squats, etc.
⭐Skipping (without a rope)
⭐Yoga or Pilates
⭐Dance

Knee or lower body pain is a common problem for my clients, and it affects the way they train. Pain can be debilitating but it doesn’t need to stop you from training. You just need to tweak how you exercise.

🦵Focus on low-impact training like swimming, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, and body weight exercises
🦵Strengthen your supporting muscles, like your quads and hamstrings
🦵Increase time spent on stretching and flexibility
🦵Avoid high-impact exercise like running
🦵Listen to your body! You’re not going to win any prizes by forcing yourself to work through pain. Pain means stop.

It’s better to embrace slow and steady than to be unable to do anything for months because you damaged something.

Hello! I’m back with a few more answers to my most frequently asked questions.

❓What 3 things should parents never, ever give their kids?
1️⃣Absolutely anything with trans-fat in it. Trans-fat is in foods like microwave popcorn and oven chips. This is why it’s so important to read your labels
2️⃣Any foods containing excessive sugar, like sugary cereals, sugary drinks
3️⃣Energy drinks, as they’re full of sugar and caffeine, some in very high doses

❓How do you help kids eat healthy food?
Kids follow their parents, they mimic behaviours they see. So, we would start with getting the parents to adopt healthier eating habits that the whole family can follow. After that, the kids should join in on their own.

❓ If you could remove 3 foods from existence so they’re never eaten again by anyone, what would they be?
Firstly, I believe in everything in moderation. Some items, however, should just not be in your fridge or cupboard at all.
1️⃣Any foods containing trans-fat, like oven-bake chips, instant cappuccinos or most convenience meals
2️⃣Cremora, high trans-fat, sugar, and palm oil
3️⃣Energy drinks, which are just sugar, caffeine, and usually taurine, which in excess can contribute to colorectal cancer
