Group photos and hiking go together like Soul Adventures and good experiences… it just works ⛰️

Whether it’s before the hike when everyone is fresh, optimistic, and blissfully unaware of what’s about to happen, during the hike when the scenery is too good not to stop for a photo, or at the end when everyone is running purely on snacks and determination 🥾

Every group photo captures a little piece of the adventure. The excitement at the start, the chaos along the way, and the satisfaction of reaching the finish. Some photos come with sunshine and blue skies, others come with windblown hair, muddy boots, and expressions that say “I need a shower immediately” 😂

One thing is always guaranteed though, great people, good memories, and another story to tell once the mountain has spat us back out into the real world.

Honestly, we probably take too many group photos… but we’re yet to regret a single one.

A collection of moments from the last few months spent wandering around the Drakensberg ⛰️

Somewhere between the early morning starts, endless cups of coffee, sore legs, questionable weather forecasts, and thousands of kilometres walked, we managed to capture a few photos along the way 🥾

These photos are just a small glimpse into what we’ve been up to recently. From towering cliffs and hidden valleys to epic campsites and mountain sunrises, it’s been a pretty wild few months. We’ve met some incredible people, shared countless laughs, and spent more time in the mountains than is probably considered normal 😂

The best part? We’re nowhere near done yet. We’ve got adventures planned throughout the year, from beginner-friendly weekends to full-blown mountain sufferfests for those who enjoy making life unnecessarily difficult 😌

This past weekend we headed up to Tugela Falls for three days of pure mountain madness ⛰️

Three days of ridiculous views, cliff edges, sunsets, sunrises, questionable decisions, and enough walking to make everyone’s legs file official complaints 🥾We spent our time exploring the top of the escarpment, watching clouds drift through the valleys below us, and generally pretending that real life didn’t exist for a few days.

The crew was an absolute vibe, the weather played along, and somehow the dad jokes got worse with each passing day 😂

Honestly, weekends like this are exactly why we keep coming back. Great people, great mountains, and the kind of memories that make Monday mornings feel particularly offensive.

All in all, three days of pure epicness.

This past week we stood on the highest point in South Africa, Mafadi at 3450m

Now truthfully… Mafadi itself isn’t exactly the prettiest peak in the Drakensberg 😂 but the journey getting there? Absolutely unreal. Long mountain days, massive escarpment views, freezing mornings, endless valleys, and the kind of hiking that leaves your legs cooked but your soul happy 🥾

We lucked out with seriously good weather too. Clear skies almost the entire trip, good vibes in camp every night, and a crew that fully bought into the chaos from day one. The only thing slightly unstable the entire hike was the quality of the dad jokes 🤣 And now we’re already planning the next big mission 👀

Our upcoming 5-day circuit will summit the 3 highest peaks in South Africa, ascending via Gray’s Pass and descending down Judge Pass. It’s going to be a proper adventure and definitely not one for weak legs. Dates are 23rd-27th September.

We sort out the gear, meals, permits, and all the logistics.
You just bring the stoke and a willingness to suffer slightly for world-class views.

The Drakensberg really does have something for everybody😎

Short hikes, long hikes, easy walks, absolute sufferfests… fit, unfit, mildly questionable cardio levels, there’s a trail out here with your name on it 🥾 One minute you’re cruising through green valleys next to rivers, the next you’re crawling up a pass wondering why mountains are so unnecessarily vertical 😂

That’s the beauty of the Berg though. It’s basically one giant outdoor playground that somehow never gets old. Endless valleys, towering cliffs, caves, waterfalls, escarpment edges… and we somehow get to call this our office. Not a bad way to spend the work week 😌
