An awesome four days out in the Cathedral Peak range last weekend 😎
We kicked things off heading up Mlambonja Pass, made our way onto the escarpment and then spent the next few days working our way towards the Bell Traverse. Massive views, exposed contour paths, ridiculous rock formations and more than a few sections where everyone suddenly became very interested in exactly where they were putting their feet 🥾
The Bell Traverse definitely delivered. It’s one of those routes that looks reasonably innocent on camera, but standing there in person with a rather significant amount of mountain disappearing below you is a completely different experience.
And because apparently we hadn’t had enough fun yet, we finished everything off by heading down the wonderfully named Bu**er Gully. Whoever named it clearly believed in managing expectations 😂
Four days of big climbs, exposed trails, wild mountain scenery, tired legs and a lekker crew.
Definitely one for the books and another reminder of why the Cathedral Peak range has quickly become one of our favourite parts of the Drakensberg to explore 😮💨
