Curro Hermanus Aquatics Club Curro Hermanus Aquatics Club (CUHE) is a community swim club where everyone is welcome. Indoor, Heated facility that is open for public use.

Curro Hermanus - SA Level 3 Champs
Four swimmers from Curro Hermanus Aquatics took part at the SA Regional Level 3 Champs, East London, 9-12 April.
The competition was tough and some of the swimmers had a few setbacks / challenges to deal with. However, they rose to the occasion and performed exceptionally well, swam personal best times (PB’s), made finals, won some medals and had a good time while doing so.

11 Curro Hermanus swimmers took part in the Cape Town/Cape Winelands Aquatics combined gala at Generation, Somerset West.
We could not be prouder. Of the 36 events swum, 28 were personal best times, which is testimony to the dedication and hard work of our swimmers.

One of our CUHE swimmers, Bramwell Whitehouse, took part in the Biathle/Triathle World Champs that took place in Egypt this past weekend.
It was a special opportunity for the South African athletes to compete internationally and represent their country

Four days and six events that combined sea swimming, beach running and shooting in sweltering heat made it tough-going for the atletes. However, Bramwell is a tough guy and he performed outstandingly.

Bram is only 9 years old, but had to compete in the under 11 category. He finished in the Top 10 for all his individual events and his relay teams finished in the Top 3 in three different events.

A summary of Bram's results are:
💥Biathle Individual- 8th
💥Triathle Individual- 10th
💥Triathle mix relay - 3rd
💥Biathle team - 2nd
💥Triathle team - 2nd

Well done to *Bram the Man* He is small guy with a big engine and will certainly achieve great things in the future.

On the weekend of 4-6 April, 8 swimmers from Curro Hermanus Aquatics Club (CUHE) took part in the SSA Regional Level 2 Champs in Oudtshoorn.
These swimmers swam their hearts out and achieved great results:

Ryn Abrie from Curro Hermanus recently participated at the DHL SA Pool Lifesaving Championships held in the Kingspark Pool, Durban. Ryn and his team performed exceptionally well and won the overall Nippers competition.

🌟Individually and as part of relay teams Ryn won 6 medals (4🥇1🥈1🥉)
🌟His relay team broke 3 SA records

Sam Pullock and Ava Grebe represented Curro Hermanus Aquatics Club (CUHE) at the Regional SA Level 3 Age Group Champs in East London, 21 - 24 March.
Both these swimmers did an outstanding job and made us proud.
Ava took part in 6 events and qualified for 2 finals (Top 8). She also swam 5 personal bests (PB's).
Samuel swam in 8 events and qualified for 6 finals. Sam also swam 7 PB's. He powered his way to a well-earned bronze medal 🥉in the 50m Freestyle and just missing out on a bronze in the 50m butterfly.
We are extremely proud of these young swimmers who have shown us all that hard work and consistency really does pay off.

This past weekend (20-21 Jan) Curro Hermanus Aquatics Club (CUHE) took part at CTA Swimming Meet 4 held at UWC.
The goal of this gala was to shake off a bit of rustiness after the Dec holidays... but the CUHE swimmers had other plans... They did not follow the script and exceeded all expectations: racked up PB's and new qualifying times galore.

A number of swimmers from Curro Hermanus Aquatics took part in the held at the Curro Hermanus' swimming pool on Saturday in support of the fundraising efforts of two of the walkers of the 2024 annual charity walk. The L2L is an annual 100 km ladies walk dedicated to raising funds (the 2024 target is R1 million) for local charities in the Overstrand region. This year, the Overstrand Hospice is the recipient of all funds raised by the various walkers.
Many of our CUHE swimmers (from Masters all the way down to the little ones) took part and swam like superstars covering many kilometers. Samuel Pullock and Storm Bircher from our senior squad swam a stunning 400 and 200 laps respectively. Well done you two.
Thanks to the generosity of the amazing sponsors (Curro Hermanus 🏊‍♀, ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd 🚑, van Blommenstein Butchery 🥓, Pullock Attorneys , Lew Gefffen Sotheby's International Hermanus 💧, Newton Johnson Family Vineyards🍷 in helping cover the costs of the day, every lap swum could count towards the fundraising goal.
