When swimmers take too long to breathe in πŸ¦‹ Butterfly, it disrupts the rhythm and flow of the stroke. One way to encourage a faster breath 😀 is to gently tap the head with a noodle.

We use a kick board when teaching crawl. This encourages the arms to slow down and always start the push in the correct position. πŸŠπŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸŠπŸΏβ€β™‚οΈπŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

Crawl Week: We start with Delayed Catch Up, where the swimmer 🏊 shakes out/loosens the swimming hand πŸ‘‹ before entering the water , whilst the anchoring arm/hand that's in the water has to work hard to hold/engage and grip the water before moving backwards.

The satisfaction of finally nailing your basic dive is always celebrated at FUNdamental Swimming. If a swimmer is able to hold the streamline throughout the entry into the water until reaching the surface, then they qualify to attempt the next level dive.
