Hi. I’m Brockell. If you’re new here — welcome.
 And if you’ve been here a while, I’m so glad you’ve been following along. I’m waaaayyy overdue for a re-introduction post. So I thought I’d give it a go.

I find it hard to keep up with myself sometimes. As a triple air sign, double Libra, manifesting generator, and serial entrepreneur, I’ve already lived many lives inside this one. And held more identities than I can hardly count.

Some know me as a healer or a yoga teacher. A traveler. A musician. A mentor. A “coach,” and inevitably, a guide. A retreat leader.

But I’m also a woman who has crossed more thresholds than she can count — both internally and across the globe.

My divorce was one of them. It cracked me open, rerouted my entire life, and eventually led me to build a women’s retreat company that supports women through their own seasons of becoming.

For nearly two decades, I’ve been holding space for people to slow down, come back into their bodies, and remember who they are.

Retreats became the place where all of those threads finally came together.
I believe retreats matter. 
Not as escapes — but as spaces of return.

In a world that keeps pulling us apart, retreats are one thing that time after time brings us back together. They remind us what’s real. 
And I’ve seen, over and over, how small circles change us.

Over the past 11+ years, I’ve led dozens of retreats across 6 countries — and in the past few years, I’ve coached over 300 women around the world to create transformative retreat spaces of their own.

This work is my life’s work.

I get a lot of criticism for talking about money in the retreat space. 
But if you know me, you know how often I talk about impact, transformation, and ethical responsibility.

Leading a retreat is not about the money. But here’s the uncomfortable truth…

👉 If you’re not making money from your retreats, you’re not running a business — you’re running a hobby.

And there’s a big difference.

If you want to build a life and business that actually sustains you — so you can keep creating transformation for others — you must charge a competitive, fair rate for your services.

Because you deserve to be resourced. Because your work carries value. 
Because transformation has a price — and your pricing should reflect that.

There’s a lot of black-and-white thinking in the wellness world: 
That you can either make an impact or make money. 
That profit somehow cancels out purity.

But that’s not true. 
You don’t have to choose between impact or income. You can — and should — have both.

It takes months of planning and long days of holding space to lead a retreat.

If I had to rebuild my retreat business from absolute zero in 2025, this is exactly what I’d do.

The hard truths about retreat hosting that nobody wants to say out loud 👆

Listen, I’ve been coaching retreat leaders for years, and I see the same patterns over and over again...

Beautiful, heart-centered women burning themselves out trying to create the “perfect” experience for everyone else while completely self- abandoning their own needs.

And I know this “leadership” model well. Because I used to do it too.

You’re planning every tiny detail, losing sleep, stressing about what could go wrong...self-abandoning your needs all week to take care of others.

But- your participants don’t need perfection, love.

They need YOUR authentic presence.
They need YOU to be resourced and radiant so they can feel safe to transform.

I used to end retreats in tears because I gave everything and kept nothing for myself.

If you’ve never been on a retreat, you don’t need to be leading one.

Here’s why 👇

Leading a retreat is not about pretty venues, photoshoots, or curated itineraries. It’s about holding space for human beings in the midst of transformation.

And if you’ve never experienced what it feels like to be held in that way—guided, witnessed, and supported—it’s nearly impossible to recreate that sacred container for others.

This work is a calling, not a trend.

As retreat leaders, we are not just trip planners. We are stewards, guides, and space holders. We carry people through turning points in their lives. That’s a responsibility that requires both inner and outer preparation.

So if you feel called to lead retreats, start by being a participant. Go on retreats. Practice being held. Build your capacity to be present, to witness, and to hold space.

Because skillful leadership can’t be curated—it must be lived.
