The SLAM Organization provides the opportunity for a diverse group of women to participate in a sport once played exclusively by men. Women of all ages, races, religions, cultures, and physical talents are encouraged to tryout and play. The only requirement is a passion for and a desire to play football. The SLAM coaching staff and general managers recognize the importance of providing a quality e

xperience for SLAM players. As little girls, we grew up longing to play a sport that we watched our brothers play and our fathers coach. When we asked if we could play we were told “no.” Today, if a young girl asks her mother “will I be able to play football?” The answer will be an enthusiastic “Yes!” Football is a sport that allows women to hit hard, run fast, and develop a mentally tough psyche. Football also requires year round conditioning and strength training of the body and mind of all body types, heights, and weights. SLAM players are committed to giving back to the community. We promote women’s health awareness by sponsoring such fundraising events hosted by the Susan B. We have collected and raised money for the St. Louis Police Department to help defer medical costs for officers injured in the line of duty. We have showcased youth coed inner city flag football games at half time of home games in hopes to encourage other young people to participate in sports. SLAM Players have also made appearances at talent competitions at inner city elementary schools and the Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club. Each day, practice, and game that we get the opportunity to walk on the field and experience an aspect of this game, - a block, reception, tackle, pass completion, interception, scoring drive – we are living a dream. We are living our passion.

Ever wanted to play Women’s football? This is your opportunity! 🏈 🔥

Whether you’ve been playing football for years or you’ve never stepped on a football field before, this is your opportunity to come see what St. Louis SLAM Women’s Tackle Football is all about.

🔥 PLAYERS: No experience required. ALL SIZES WELCOME!💪 Bring your water bottles, cleats/running shoes, and willingness to learn
🏈 COACHES: Have football knowledge and a passion for developing athletes? We’re looking for qualified individuals interested in joining the SLAM coaching staff. Come out and get a taste of what it’s like to coach for the SLAM and meet the staff!

With the WFA National Championship Game, NFL Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony, and the first Preseason Game of the NFL season being held recently at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, countless people from across the country flooded through the connected Pro Football Hall of Fame, with the opportunity to see the Women In Football exhibit, where the St. Louis SLAM’s very own Jada “The Jet” Humphrey’s jersey has been on public display over the past year! The Jet herself and her family were among those people. What a special and historic time it is, not just for Jada and the SLAMILY to have been represented on such a high level, but for Women’s Football all around 🏈
