Custom build wrapped up and ready to go!

Customer brought us a Re*****on 700 and wanted something short and handy. We broke it down and built it back with a custom 16” .308 barrel.

As much as it hurts me to build a .308 😂 if you know you know… this one turned out pretty sweet.

Customer will be picking it up tomorrow and we’re looking forward to getting it out on the range and seeing what this little short setup will do.

Another full custom build wrapped up!

This client brought us a zermatt action, Zermatt Matterhorn with the full internal weight kit, and a Bartlein 28” blank and had us build it out from there.

We chopped the blank, chambered it in 6.5 Creedmoor, threaded the muzzle, Cerakoted everything black, and topped it off with a new Nightforce Optics NX6 5-30x56 MIL-C.

This build turned out sweet! Looking forward to getting out on the range with the client tomorrow and seeing what it’ll do.

That’s another thing that sets us apart from a lot of other custom shops. We have our own 1,000 yard range, so we can actually get out and test the r***es we build with our clients. We don’t just build it and send you on your way.

From the client dropping off his parts to a finished r***e was less than 30 days.

What a weekend at the King of One Mile World Finals!

We don’t shoot a ton of ELR matches, so to have both of us finish Top 10 in the World Finals is something we’re extremely thankful for.

Ben Fabre finished 7th and Chris Hebert finished 8th.

This was only our second time qualifying for the World Finals, and both times we’ve been fortunate enough to finish inside the Top 20.

There are some absolutely incredible shooters in this sport, and we still have a lot to learn. We’re just grateful to be able to compete alongside them, represent Roaming Shot Outdoors, and somehow keep finding our way into the mix.

Huge thanks to everyone who followed along, encouraged us, and supported us this weekend.

7th and 8th in the world… we’ll take it! 🎯🇺🇸

The first two days of the King of One Mile World Finals are in the books!

Some incredible shooting, tough conditions, big hits, and a lot of great people competing at a very high level.

Here’s a quick look back at the first two days. Tomorrow is Finals Day!

Made it to the King of One Mile Finals tomorrow by the skin of my teeth! 😂

There were a ton of awesome shooters out there today and some seriously tough competition. Just glad I got lucky enough to sneak into the finals.

Chris Hebert made it yesterday and I managed to get it done today, so Roaming Shot has TWO shooters in the World Finals tomorrow!

Now we get one more day to see what we can do! Let’s go! 💪🎯

This is the ATF stance. It’s only part of the equation state and local laws are still in effect. Do you hunt Colorado or Mississippi like most of our clients a stamp is still required. Louisiana also requires a stamp to hunt in the state at this time.

King of One Mile World Finals!

Chris Hebert shot the first heat today and finished 8th, punching his ticket to the final round Sunday!

I shoot tomorrow, and it’s going to be a tough heat. A lot of really good shooters are up tomorrow, so the competition is going to be stiff. Not taking anything away from today’s shooters at all. At this level, everybody can shoot.

One Roaming Shot shooter is in. Tomorrow we’ll see if we can make it TWO!

🐷 INTRODUCING THE ROAMING SHOT PIG TOURNAMENT 🐷

We’ve been playing a game at the range called PIG, and now it’s time to find out who’s the best at it.

Think HORSE in basketball, but with a r***e.

You stay in one shooting position with targets scattered all over the Roaming Shot range. One shooter picks the target. Hit it and the next shooter has to hit it. Miss it and you get a letter. Spell PIG and you’re out.

Now we’re turning it into a single elimination bracket tournament!

We’re going to run this similar to a weekend baseball tournament, except instead of having to give up an entire weekend, we’re spreading the tournament out over a month.

Each weekend we’ll have a limited number of 1 hour bracketed time slots:

Friday — 1 hour
Saturday — 1 hour
Sunday — 1 hour

Available bracketed spots will be listed on our website. Simply sign up for one of the available bracketed spots.

Win and advance in the bracket.

Lose and you’re done.

We have targets from close range all the way to 1,000 yards, so picking the right target is just as important as making the shot.

Pick something too easy and everybody hits it? You can earn yourself a letter. 😂

Life-size animal targets? White vitals only.

This is going to be competitive, strategic and probably involve a good bit of trash talking.

We’re looking to add another member to the Roaming Shot Outdoors team!

We have an opening for part-time to full-time store help. This can be a seasonal position for hunting season or potentially a permanent position for the right person.

We’re looking for someone who:

* Enjoys hunting, shooting, and the outdoors
* Is friendly and comfortable helping customers
* Is dependable and willing to learn
* Can work well as part of a team
* Has general knowledge of outdoor and hunting products

Extensive fi***rm knowledge is NOT required, but it’s definitely a bonus. We’re more interested in finding someone with a good attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
