Crazy to think that when I first started golfing, I was lucky to hit my pitching wedge 100 yards… now it’s becoming my 150-yard club. With a lot of practice and help from Shane Nicolas, I’ve started hitting the ball so much better that I’m having to completely relearn my iron distances. Terrible drive. Great recovery.
Hole #10 at Pinehurst — a bad tee shot puts me in the sand, but from 243 yards out, I was able to hit an incredible recovery shot and give myself an EAGLE PUTT. Which I missed of course lol!
That’s what makes golf fun. One shot can completely change the hole.

Want to get more out of your driver without changing your swing?

In this video, I walk you through exactly how to use Yucca Valley Golf Studio + ChatGPT to fine-tune your driver settings based on YOUR actual shot data.

For this example, we used Shane Nicolas — already a great golfer — and tested different settings using real launch monitor data. By the end, we were able to find settings that gave him 10–12 MORE YARDS OF CARRY on average.

WORKING ON MY APPROACH GAME ⛳️
Another lesson with Shane Nicolas at Yucca Valley Golf Studio and this one was all about controlling my approach shots.

I was launching the ball way too high, and Shane quickly identified the problem: too much wrist hinge. A few adjustments later, we had the flight much more controlled and started absolutely dialing in the distances including a couple shots from way out that came VERY close to dropping in the hole.

This is exactly why having real data and instant feedback makes such a difference when working on your game.

It’s been awesome seeing all the practice at Yucca Valley Golf Studio start to translate onto the golf course. One of the biggest differences in my game lately has been hitting more greens on par 3s, and that’s no accident.
