Sandhaven Farm is looking for a full-time Groom to join our team.

This position is based at our home facility in Portola Valley, California and includes travel to horse shows throughout the year. We are looking for someone who can be the connection between our home and show operations, helping ensure our horses receive exceptional care wherever they are.

Ideal Candidate:
• Motivated and hardworking
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Professional horse care experience
• FEI experience preferred
• Valid passport required
• Truck and trailer experience is a plus

Sandhaven Farm | Portola Valley, CA

Sandhaven Farm is seeking a full-time team member to join our professional show jumping program.

This unique role is perfect for someone who wants to be deeply involved in every aspect of a top-level operation, serving as the connection between our home base and competition schedule throughout the year. The right candidate will travel to all horse shows while also helping oversee and maintain day-to-day operations at home.

Role Includes:
• Full-time position based at our Portola Valley, California facility
• Traveling to horse shows throughout the year with the team
• Serving as a key link between home and show operations
• Assisting with horse care, organization, scheduling, and daily barn management
• Helping maintain consistency and communication across the entire program
• Supporting the team wherever needed to ensure horses and clients receive exceptional care
Ideal Candidate:
• Experience working in a professional training and show program
• FEI experience preferred
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Strong work ethic and team-first attitude
• Comfortable taking initiative and managing responsibilities independently
• Valid passport required
• Ability to ride and help keep horses fit is a plus
• Experience driving a truck and trailer is a plus
We’re looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, and excited to be part of a competitive, fast-paced program both at home and on the road.
