Our teaching approach combines the Classical Principles of riding with progressive techniques in equine/human biomechanics. Our students learn not only what to do, but how to do it, in increasingly more skilled and productive ways. We encourage a holistic approach to riding and horsemanship, promoting empathy, compassion and quiet authority within the rider. Our goal is to engender a true partnership between horse and rider, based on mutual trust and respect. We will support you in learning how to care for a horse, including grooming, conditioning, and how to work with your farrier/veterinarian, so that you can be an effective and educated horse owner. Mastery of horsemanship skills are essential to you and the well-being of your mount in the long term. We invite you to experience the pleasure of riding in a safe, supportive, fun environment where you can develop the skills to achieve your dreams and aspirations, no matter what your age or current level of proficiency.
