Next Weekend October 31, 2026!

Read our review of the JM Collingwood Barn Rat Filthy 50 Gravel here, then go register! You will not be disappointed!

“Hands down the most excellent all female directed grassroots gravel event in the Midwest. The Barn Rat looks past all of the hype in gravel racing today and exudes the type of low key energy and care that first drew us to the sport. This event leaves its ego at home and welcomes all with smiles, bike rides, small town kindness, a home cooked meal and a sort of artisan touch only attributed to things of great value. Whether a new rider or a veteran racer, Barn Rat feels like coming home.” -Bicycle Pedaler

A fall gravel bike event in Kansas at a beautifully restored barn built in 1913. 50-mile race and 50/25-mile tour options. Soup and cinnamon roll meal and live music post-ride in the loft. Pretty Prairie, KS 10.31.26

Curious about adventure, or bikepacking, or the Great Plains Gravel Route (GPGR), or bikes, or the ecology of the Great Plains as seen from a bike, or maybe just interested in supporting local cycling non-profits that are doing good in our community?

If you said yes or maybe to any of those, please consider registering for this event. We will spend the evening soaking up tales from the GPGR from Adventure Cyclist Hannah Glatter and Biologist Jacob Alexander.

What to expect:
“The Great Plains are often dismissed as flat, empty, or simply somewhere to pass through. Beginning in early May, Hannah Glatter traveled roughly 3,300 miles by bicycle along the Great Plains Gravel Route, while biologist and educator Jacob Alexander joined portions of the journey to explore the landscapes, ecology, and communities along the way. Together, they’ll share what they found by moving slowly through the Great Plains, focusing on how the realities of a big adventure challenged their expectations of the landscape, the journey, and what it means to have a successful adventure.”

Register early and use your payment receipt to get 10% off the purchase of one item at Bicycle Pedaler between now and November 2nd.

See you at Chicken N Pickle - Wichita!

Looks like we are due for another beautiful evening on the bikes! The bridge on Prairie Creek is out for the foreseeable future so we will be using a lot of south bound routes and making some new ones over coming weeks. Days are getting shorter, so make sure that you bring lights. If you need lights, swing by the shop and we can help you out! See you all on the gravel!
