🚨 WINTER FLAG FOOTBALL IS COMING TO ROOTS ATHLETIC CENTER! 🏈

We’re excited to welcome the Connecticut Flag Football League to Westfield for its first indoor winter season at RAC!

📍 Roots Athletic Center
181 Root Road, Westfield, MA

📅 Sundays, December 6 through January 24
⏰ Practices and games scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Players will compete in an exciting, professionally organized 7v7 flag football league with divisions for:

🏈 Coed: 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U
🏈 Girls Only: Middle School and High School

The age cutoff is August 1, 2026, and every registered player will receive a jersey and flag belt to keep.

Registered players are also invited to a free preseason clinic at Roots Athletic Center on Sunday, November 8, from 1:00–3:00 p.m.

This fall, we're helping young players build confidence, develop skills, and most importantly, have fun in a positive learning environment. Whether your child is kicking a ball for the very first time or looking to take their game to the next level, there's a place for them at Roots Soccer Academy.

Fall Session: September 8 – October 24

Programs Available:

Turf Tykes Academy (Ages 3–5)
A fun, movement-based introduction to soccer focused on coordination, confidence, and basic skills.
One training a week:
Tuesday/Wednesday 4:30-5:00
Saturday 9:30-10:00

Roots United Academy (Ages 6–8)
In partnership with Western United Pioneers, players continue developing their technical skills while learning teamwork and game play in a fun, encouraging environment.
One training a week with a game on Saturday:
Tuesday/Wedensday 5:00 - 5:50
Satruday 10:00-11:00

Roots Academy+ (Ages 9–12)
Designed for experienced players looking to sharpen their technical ability, improve decision-making, and prepare for more competitive soccer.
One training a week

High school soccer season is right around the corner. Our Preseason Prep Clinic at Roots Athletic Center East Longmeadow is designed to help players sharpen their technical skills, improve fitness, and build confidence before tryouts and the start of the fall season.

Session will focus on first touch, finishing, speed of play, passing, and competitive small sided games to get ready for the demands of high school soccer.
