It’s been a great few days of competitive golf for Golf Garage coaches and members!

Monday and Tuesday, Kellen Perry, Dave Jankowski and Curt Goldsberry competed in the 2026 Pro-Am Championship at The Quechee Club! Janko and his partner, Austin Giroux, finished 5th with a combined -11 score over two days! It’s not often the New England PGA comes to Vermont so it was great to have Golf Garage out in full force!

On Monday, Sam Holden led a team down to Newport GC where he fired a 74 in the individual professional competition and the Golf Garage team took 2nd place!

A great start to the outdoor year for Golf Garage, our coaches and our members.

Well played to Golf Garage coaches and on their performance at the New England PGA Pro-Assistant Championship at the Bay Club down in Mass. yesterday!

With Sam joining as Assistant back in September it was the first time Golf Garage was able to field a team in this awesome early season event against the top professionals in New England.

Our duo shot a 1-under 70, just inside the money! Way to represent Golf Garage and the entire Vermont PGA!

Golf Garage wraps up its time at the Pinehurst ProAm after a phenomenal week of golf!

Our three teams were lead by David Jankowski, Kellen Peery and Sam Holden!

🏆Team Peery finished the event with an awesome first place finish with a 3 round team score of -12! Kellen finished 2nd in the individual pro event in addition!

⭐️ Team Holden finished in the Top 10 with a team score of even par, while Sam finished T20 for the week in the individual pro match.

⛳️ Team Jankowski, lead by owner Janko, finished Top 25!

We can’t say the weather fully cooperated but our teams showed out and showed why the work we do all winter pays off come the outdoor season! Golf Garage was one of the only facilities with three teams, all of which played great.

👉 Kellen Perry made his first hole in one at the Par 3 course, The Cradle, in howling winds and rain.

👉 Sam Holden made his first professional tournament start as Assistant Pro.

👉 Janko kept up his great early season work in preparation for his National Championship run at Bandon Dunes next month!

A wonderful week and the start of a great outdoor season for the pros and members at the Garage!

Big congratulations to our founder and owner David Jankowski, PGA on being named the New England PGA Professional Development Award recipient! 👏⛳

This award recognizes PGA Professionals who make a meaningful impact on education and professional development in the game of golf.

Over the past several years, Janko has helped build Golf Garage into a year-round destination for golfers across Vermont and New Hampshire who want to improve and pursue their best golf.

Our members and students include club champions, state amateurs, collegiate players, and senior champions. Just as important, many are simply enjoying the game more and playing better golf.

The model Janko has built has also created opportunities for PGA Professionals by providing year-round training environments where coaches can teach, mentor players, and continue developing their craft.

Golf in Northern New England is better because of his commitment to developing golfers, supporting coaches, and growing the game.

We lost an amazing member of our community. Brian alway came in with a smile on his face ready to play or learn. Our condolences are with all of Brian’s friends and family.

I will always get a chuckle thinking about working with Brian. If I had a dollar for everytime he said “now I’ll just swing harder”. We’d always get such a laugh. I’ll miss you pal.

Our team spent the day at the amazing getting trained and certified to be instructors!

It was an inspiring day hearing stories from veterans and the impact that PGA Hope and golf as a whole has had on their lives.

Sam, Kellen and Jim spent the day learning adaptive training techniques and learning how PGA Hope programs are changing the lives of so many veterans across New England. We’re proud that we now have three instructors at Golf Garage who can provide instruction to the heroes in our community!
