đAlbany-Saratoga Speedway Recapđ
We rolled into Albany-Saratoga with SCoNE - Sprint Cars of New England with a pretty stout field on hand and started 2nd in the heat. We held our own for a while before a restart shuffled the deck and we got swallowed up by some of the heavy hitters.
That put us 14th for the feature.
From there, we did what we came to do. Drove the absolute wheels off the thing for 25 laps, left very little on the table, and when the dust settled we had successfully advanced all the way to⌠15thđđ.
Oh well. We learned what not to do on a few setup things at that place and had some fun doing it.
Unfortunately, the Pro Stocks spent a considerable amount of time murdering each otherâs race cars in the feature before ours, so we got off the track pretty late and pointed the rig toward home.
The important part: we got that case of beer safely back across state lines. đş
No run-ins with the law, no sheriffs in hot pursuit, and nobody had to distract Jackie Gleason while we slipped across the border.
Wouldnât exactly call this sequel a hitâŚ
but it was still better than Smokey and the Bandit II.
