Spring Cleaning? We need your extra stuff!

For the second year in a row, Wayzata Sailing is bringing in 2 sailing instructors from Spain to teach at our camps. We are tasked with setting up a living arrangement for them. We have secured an apartment, but we need to make it feel like home. If you have any of the items below that you are willing to part with (at least for the summer) we would love to take them off your hands. Our biggest concern is finding beds, so please reach out if you have twin beds/mattresses that you could donate!

Here is what we need:

Highest Priority:
2 Twin sized mattresses
2 Twin Sized bed frames
Small table and chairs (for kitchen area)
Dresser

Needed:
Twin bed sheet sets
Pillows and pillow cases
Towels (bath towels, kitchen towels, hand towels, wash cloths)
Shower curtain and liner
Bath mat
Dishes (no need for a full set, but a few plates and bowls would be great)
Cookware (basic pots and pans, 1 or 2 of each is plenty)

Would be nice:
Electric kettle
Couch
Bedside table/coffee table/side table
Trash can
Broom and dust pan
Vacuum
Water filter (For drinking water, like a britta)

Here is a list of other supplies needed if you are interested in donating:
Hand soap
Dish soap
Dish sponge
Laundry detergent
Trash bags
Toilet bowl cleaner
Toilet bowl brush
Paper towels
Clothes hangers
Ice cube tray
Basic food items to get them started

If you have any items you would like to donate, please contact us at [email protected] or text (952) 476-5875. You can drop things off here or we can arrange a time to pick them up! They are moving in next week so we have to move fast!

Spring has sprung! During the month of May, Otten Bros. will give back 10% of every pre-taxed dollar spent at either of our two locations by participants associated with Wayzata Sailing. We will also give back 5% of the pre-tax total on designed & installed landscape projects. You can take advantage of the Give & Grow program multiple times through the entire month.

The overnight temps are forecasted to be near or above 40 degrees, which is ideal for annuals. The Flower Farm Basket sale of Buy 1 hanging basket, get 1 for $5 is good through Monday. Otten Bros. still has the single variety patio pot sale of buy 1, get 1 for $5, also good through Monday. Plus lots of other sales on now including roses, trellises, and spring bulbs.

Last week we hosted three of Wayzata High School’s adventure PE classes for a week of sailing! These groups are an absolute blast to teach and work with. We only have the time of their class period (minus commute time) each day, so it’s a fast moving sailing adventure. It’s great to see so many young people come through and try sailing (for many of them, for the first time)! Huge thanks to the teachers, Mr. Allen and Ms. Hallen, and all the kids who showed up! Who knew gym class could be so fun??
