Putting in that extra work! 🥋🔥
A few of the guys got together for an impromptu training session tonight to sharpen the tools. Jordan Magnuson and Mike Riddell are heading down to Phoenix this coming weekend to battle it out at UFC BJJ, and the preparation is looking sharp.
Huge shoutout and special thanks to Kody Diola for making the drive down from Williston to get some solid rounds in and help the team prep. Iron sharpens iron!

Proud of our coach!

Coach Jordan, one of our own at Jotunheim Grappling Club, recently played a key role in a successful drug bust as a K9 Deputy.

While he helps us get better on the mats, he’s also out there keeping the community safer with his four-legged partner. That kind of dedication both on and off the mats is something we respect deeply.

Thank you, Coach Jordan, for everything you do for our club and for our county. We’re proud to have you as part of the Jotunheim family.

🚨Jotunheim Grappling Club will be CLOSED on Saturday, September 12th, 2026.🚨

Coach Jim is heading to Phoenix to support Coach Jordan and Mike Riddell at the UFC BJJ Opens.

Coach Clayton and Coach Dylan will be in Fargo cheering on everyone competing at the Submission Challenge.

We’re proud of our coaches and athletes representing the club thhe weekend of September12th. Train hard, compete well, and represent Jotunheim!

**🚨 Submission Challenge Grappling Tournament – Sept 12th! 🚨**

Hey Jotunheim family! The next **Submission Challenge** tournament is coming up fast on **Saturday, September 12th**

**If your athlete plans to compete, please let us know ASAP by commenting "IN" on this post or speaking directly with a coach at the gym.** We need an accurate head count so we can make sure we bring enough coaches and assistants to support every single competitor.

A few key reminders:
* **Team Name:** When registering, make sure you sign up under **Jotunheim Grappling Club**.

* **Team Standings:** At our last tournament, our team placed **5th out of 30+ academies**—let's keep that momentum going and push for the podium this time! 🏆

* **Rules:** Be sure to review the tournament rules on the official event page ahead of time so you know what to expect.

* **Prep Time:** For everyone competing, our coaches are going to do everything we can to help you gear up and be 100% ready to step onto the mats.

A HUGE milestone for the team! 🟦🥋

Please help us congratulate Jordan Magnuson on earning his BJJ Blue Belt—the very first blue belt awarded under our roof!

Coach Jordan came to us as a lifelong scholastic and intercollegic wrestler, bringing serious grit, drive, and mat time. Over the past couple years, he’s taken that wrestling base and elevated it, adding the unique attacks, submissions, and positions that make Jiu-Jitsu so dynamic.

Seeing him blend those two worlds together has been a blast to watch. Hard-earned and deeply deserved. The blue belt is where the real fun begins—congrats, Jordan! 👏🔥
