The dust from the wind is just too much for most ppl to be able to drive in safely.

There has been some confusion recently about acceptable attire in our kids gi-jiu jitsu classes.

Allow me to clairify:

Under their gi, they should NOT be wearing their street clothes. Period.

Just tossing their uniform on OVER their school clothes defeats the purpose of wearing the uniform...which should be cleaned after every class (belt included). When they wear their school clothes under their uniform, the germs and dirt they accumulated at school, gets deposited on the mats, through the pantlegs, which invites both illness and infections (such as staph).

Further, they should not wear a regular cotton t-shirt or button down shirt underneath. No zippers or snaps, and absolutely NO HOODIES.

A rashguard and board shorts under the gi is sufficient and acceptable. No sweat pants or jeans please.

This is for both safety AND cleanliness.
