Along with Trek Madison East (Trek Ride Club Madison) , we hosted nearly 70 junior/NICA riders (plus some parents & coaches) at Trek Bicycle Company HQ for a Cyclocross Try-It-Out Clinic on Monday night. We taught the riders the differences between mountain biking and cyclocross and led them through different skill stations including cornering, flyovers, mounting & dismounting over barriers, starts, and root b**r (water bottle) hand-ups at the famous Secret Bar! We ended the night with a team relay on our mini CX course in the same tracks where legendary World Cup CX stars have ridden. Our team gave instructions to the kids and had a lot of fun helping build the stoke for the Wisconsin CX Series p/b TREK. Thanks to all the parents, coaches and team members who made it happen!

Sad news about some of our fellow cyclists, including one from Wisconsin who we raced and rode with. If you can't make it to this ride on Wednesday, please spend some time remembering Haylan and all others impacted. Stay safe.

Haylan Engdahl was killed by a driver while riding with the Milligan cycling team in Tennessee. Haylan and several other injured riders are part of our Wisconsin riding and racing community.

Help us remember Haylan by riding in his honor. Details at link in bio.

Please consider donating to Wisconsin Bike Fed to support cycling advocacy.
