He hits a long tee shot and needed to capitalize on short wedges in. So we are dialing it in ..

Getting my feels back.

Havenā€™t been able to hit many shots lately, and it showsā€¦ the top of the swing has felt especially elusive. One thing thatā€™s helped: using a mirror to make sure what feels right actually is right.

Speed is at an all-time low right nowā€”but Iā€™m not chasing it. I know if I stack the right reps and rebuild the foundation, the speed will come back. And when Iā€™m ready Iā€™ll start speed training again.

If youā€™re getting back into it, hereā€™s what Iā€™d focus on:

ā€¢ Start with a low, achievable goal (balance, tempo, or a simple checkpoint).
ā€¢ Donā€™t rush to layer in moreā€”let one feel stabilize first.
ā€¢ Keep sessions short and frequent. Consistency beats the occasional marathon.

I played a round with and was taken by how much speed his small frame produces. Hereā€™s a look at one of his many 300+ yard drives that were in control and all well placed. If we get into why he can produce so much speed, take a look at how and when he rotates his segments (pelvis, torso, wrists, etc) and how he leverages the ground.

On top of his impressive golf game, heā€™s a super good guy. So is his wife
