The ending wasn’t what our Wareham Solids were hoping for, but what happened after the final out was pretty special.

As the championship game wrapped up, the celebration didn’t stop. Players, coaches, and families from rival towns spent the evening together sharing pizza, gifts, laughs, and making new friends. The kids didn’t see different uniforms—they just saw teammates in the game they all love.

From dads from opposite dugouts swapping stories, to players exchanging gifts and making plans to see each other again, it was a reminder of what youth sports should be about. Competition on the field. Respect and friendships off it.

We’re incredibly proud of our Wareham Solids for an amazing season and for representing Wareham Little League with class all year long.

Great season, Solids! 💙💛

💙⚾️ Sometimes people just remind you how good this community really is. ⚾️💙

Thanks to an incredibly generous $1,000 donation, Wareham Little League will be launching “For Love of the Game Scholarships!” for spring 2027.

That means 8 players will receive a full scholarship for registration and uniform costs because we believe every kid who wants to play baseball should have the chance to step onto the field.

The remaining funds will go toward our new security camera system, helping us protect our equipment, fields, snack shack, and all the things our volunteers work so hard to build and maintain.

This donation wasn’t asked for. It was simply someone wanting to give back to the league and the community. And honestly, that’s pretty special.

We’re grateful for the amazing people who continue to support local baseball and the kids who make it all worth it.

Here’s to more kids playing ball, more community support, and a whole lot of love for the game. ⚾️💙

Like many baseball families across the country, our Wareham Little League community is thinking of Xavier Taylor and his family.

Xavier, a 12-year-old player from New Jersey, remains in critical condition after being struck in the neck by a baseball during pregame warmups. In response, baseball communities nationwide have joined the “Bats Out for X” movement by placing bats outside their homes as a visible sign of support.

Many of our WLL families have already joined in, and tonight our Majors players honored Xavier by wearing eye black with “X” and his number 6.

Baseball is bigger than wins and losses. It’s a family. When one of our own is hurting, communities from across the country come together.

Please continue to keep Xavier, his family, teammates, coaches, and friends in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️
