The Crossroads Sports Center Varsity Volleyball Showcase Tournament returns Thursday, and the field is absolutely loaded with some of the top programs in South Texas! 💥

Come out and watch elite varsity teams battle it out as we showcase some of the best volleyball talent in the area. Schools are traveling in from Corpus Christi and across the Crossroads region to compete in what promises to be a great day of volleyball!

If you’re a volleyball fan, this is a great opportunity to see high-level competition and some of the athletes who will be making noise this season!!! 🙌🙌🙌

Kayson Hernandez (Goliad) dropped 18 points in a victory tonight at Tuesday Night Junior High Hoops! 🏀

This 7th grader can really go! Kayson is super skilled for his age and has some great height to go with his game. He has a really nice touch on his shot, can score around the rim, and impacts the game in so many different ways! 💯

If we had to describe his game, we’d call him a point forward because he can do just about everything on the floor. He handles it, passes it, scores it, and makes winning plays! 💪💪💪

Bright future ahead for this young athlete. Keep an eye on Kayson Hernandez! 👀💪🏀

The Poth Lady Pirates take home Showcase #1 of 4 at the Crossroads Sports Center! 💪🔥

Poth put together an impressive day of volleyball, finishing 3-0 and showing why they are one of the top up-and-coming programs around. This group plays with confidence, competes hard, and isn’t afraid to travel anywhere to take on quality competition. 👊🏐

The future is bright for the Lady Pirates. They have a talented group of young athletes, and if today was any indication, they’re only getting started. 🚀

Next Generation Spotlight: Kyndall Ruiz (Nazareth) | 8th Grade

Future St. Joseph Lady Flyer Kyndall Ruiz is a high-flying athlete with talent well beyond her years. Playing outside hitter and all the way around the court for Nazareth, Ruiz impacts the game in every rotation!!! ✅✅✅

She brings excellent ball control, serves with tremendous power, and has the athleticism to make plays that most athletes her age simply can’t. What really stands out is how quickly she gets off the floor and the impressive hang time she shows on her jumps!!! 💪💪💪

These two 8th graders from Poth form a one-two punch that is about as good as it gets!

Sophia Kurz – Middle Blocker | Poth | 8th Grade

Sophia has good size for her age and an incredibly powerful swing. With both parents being tall, there’s a good chance she still has plenty of growth ahead of her. Size may be the final piece of the puzzle for this talented young athlete, and if it comes, everyone better watch out because she already has all the tools in the bag.

Landri Helmke – Setter/Right Side | Poth | 8th Grade

A familiar face at CSC, Landri always finds a way to stand out. She has great hands, a powerful serve, and the versatility to impact the game in multiple ways. She sets for the Pirates but can also play right side, making her one of those players who never seems to come off the court.

These two helped lead Poth to a district championship last season, and don’t expect them to slow down anytime soon. With high school volleyball right around the corner, write these names down now. Sophia Kurz and Landri Helmke look poised to make an immediate impact at the varsity level in upcoming years. 🔥💪🏐

Get to know this name right now!! 💯💯💯

Elizabeth Williams is already pushing 6 feet tall and still appears to have plenty of room to grow. Coming out of the successful Goliad Tigerette program, she has all the tools to develop into a standout middle blocker at the next level! 🙌

Elizabeth uses her size to control the net, and her powerful swing already makes her a tough matchup for opponents. What makes her exciting is that she’s just scratching the surface of her potential. With continued development, she has the ability to become one of the top players to come in this area. 🔥 🔥 🔥

🏀🔥 **Crossroads Sports Center Varsity Boys Summer League – Week 2 Recap** 🔥🏀

Week 2 is officially in the books, and the scoring has been off the charts!!!!

As expected, Victoria West and Victoria East remain unbeaten at 4-0, but that perfect record situation is about to change. The two powerhouses will collide next week in what may be the biggest game of the summer so far when they meet at 8:30 PM on Court 2! 👀🍿

💥 Week 2 Top Performers 💥

🏀 Shane Davis (Goliad Sophomore) – 30 Points
Shane has been absolutely on a tear. He dropped 30 last night and right now it feels like he simply cannot miss. The sophomore continues to put up huge numbers every time he steps on the floor.

🏀 Jackson Bolton (Faith Academy Senior) – 29 Points
Jackson exploded for 29 points and continues to lead a very solid Faith squad. The senior is playing with confidence and showing why he's one of the league's top leaders.

🏀 Kam Flores (Victoria West Sophomore) – 26 Points
Kam can flat-out score, and he proved it again with a 26-point performance. Every week he's showing more confidence and offensive versatility.

🏀 Matt Cattan (Victoria West Sophomore) – 23 Points
"Matty Buckets" strikes again. A familiar name on the top performer list, Matt continues to fill it up and make tough shots look routine.

🏀 Dae'Sean Avery (Goliad Junior) – 26 Points
Avery caught fire, knocking down **6 three-pointers** on his way to 26 points. Athletic, explosive, and capable of getting hot in a hurry—keep your eyes on this kid.

🏀 Dae Dae Bonnor (Cuero Senior) – 26 & 21 Points
The motor never stops. Bonnor put together two outstanding performances, scoring 26 and 21 points in the same night while bringing relentless energy from start to finish.

🏀 Jevan Trevino (Cuero) – 24 Points
Jevan earned his spot on the top performers list after a 24-point outing where it seemed like every three-pointer he launched found the bottom of the net.

🏀 Ian Thomas (St. Joseph Senior) – 26 Points
Ian dropped 26 points and added one of the highlights of the night with a clean dunk. The senior simply looks like a hooper every time he steps on the court.

🏀 Draven Valdez (Victoria East Junior) – 21 Points
Draven finds himself on the list once again. The East junior has a great feel for the game, handles the ball well, and continues to make winning plays.

👀 Looking Ahead

Next week marks the final week of the regular season, and the standings are getting tighter. Players are stepping up, teams are battling for position, and several big-time matchups are on deck.
