Registration is officially open for Lonestar 600! This is open to ALL ages, children and adults. Medals and buckles will be awarded. 2026 Texas Ringer Next Gen in is the books!!! These archers showed up, shot strong, and left with so many memories!

Each and every one of these archers have poured hours and hours into their shot process over the last few weeks. They have analyzed and adjusted their form, strengthened their mental game, and practiced under pressure. They have stood beside one another and encouraged each other through hard ends and exciting ends.

We could not be more proud of these kids. Both as archers and as teammates. They trusted their process and it showed up in a big way! For some, this hard work showed up as gold medals and top 8 finishes. For others, it showed up as breakthroughs, personal bests, and realizations of what's possible!

What a way to kick off the 2026 Indoor Season!!! We cannot wait to see what the rest of this year holds!

Athlete Highlight!!!

Skill, patience, precision, and hours upon hours of dedication is what it takes to stay in the game as a competitive recurve archer. This young man focuses everything he does on the pursuit of excellence, and archery is no exception.

This summer, CJ Hood Archery made some major form changes to create a more stable and dependable shot. In archery, changes can lead to short term frustration, as you often have to wait to see results show up. That didn't stop CJ—he continued to give his all to his physical and mental shot, determined to reach his goal of excellence.

This summer, CJ was selected by the Hunting & Wildlife Team to represent Texas in the National Competition in Grand Island, Nebraska. This was a unique, multi-day, that combined academic knowledge with real world application. CJ worked through written tests, archery, shotgun, and life skills, and walked away with multiple top 10 finishes, including finishing 4th overall with his team! CJ also earned the title of Grand Champion this summer at the Texas 4-H Roundup, the Rio Grande Livestock Show, and the Texas Summer Games!!

We can’t wait to see with this next year holds, let’s go CJ!!!

Athlete Highlight!!!

The jump from 9 meters to 18 meters in target archery is not for the faint of heart. More precision is required, mistakes are magnified, and the competition is steep. Despite all these obstacles, this young lady has soared!!! Brielle has put in countless hours perfecting her form, strengthening her mental game, and adjusting her equipment in order to rise to meet every challenge set before her!

This summer, Brielle participated in a tournament prep clinic, where she went head-to-head in high pressure shoot offs against other elite archers. Brielle managed to fight her way to the podium, beating out some incredible high-school aged archers in the process!

This year will come with a new set of challenges and increased competition, but we have no doubt that Brielle will continue to grow and excel on and off the range!!
