Other than the rain, here is what is going on at RHCC:

Monday: Morning Men (rained out) - afternoon 9 hole TBD

Tuesday: Ladies League at 8:30 and open play

Wednesday: American Legion and open play

Thursday: Open Play and Thursday Night Golf and Dinner (new night) we are moving to Thursdays to change it up a bit. This week is breakfast for dinner. 4:30 shotgun, 9 holes scramble, dinner at 6:30.

Friday: Open Play and Private event in the clubhouse

Saturday: Open Play. Please make tee times

Sunday: Open Play. Please make tee time.

Thursday the 18th is our Morgan County Against Cancer event. We are already at approximately 100 players. Please verify your teams if you are not sure if you have entered. We will not have Thursday Night Golf and Dinner on the 18th.

Thursday the 25th we are hosting the Missouri Golf Association Stan Utley Junior Tour. The course will be closed in the morning.

Saturday the 27th is the Versailles Police Department tournament. They do a great job getting amazing door prizes and usually have a nice event to support their Shop with a Cop Charity and Educational scholarships for the Department. They would appreciate your support.

Lastly---- The sign up sheet is up for the 4th of July Scramble. It is a 4 person scramble at 9:00 am on the 4th of July. We will also have a pork steak lunch following golf.

So far we have received over an inch of rain overnight and they are predicting a couple more inches this morning. So, I am canceling The 18 hole league for this morning. We will check course conditions and weather later this morning and make a decision about the afternoon 9-hole league.

We had the pleasure of hosting the Spicer for Missouri event with special guests Ozzie Smith and Tom Henke. Derrick Spicer ran an amazing event. Ozzie and Tom were incredibly generous with their time, taking pictures and signing items. They went above and beyond, creating amazing memories for almost everyone who played.

This Week at RHCC:

Monday: Men's League and Open Play - Cart Path Only !!

Tuesday: Ladies League at 8:30 and Open Play. I would expect to allow normal cart rules if we do not have anymore rain.

Wednesday: American Legion, Open Play and Wednesday Night Golf and Dinner. We are serving Italian, please sign up by Tuesday Evening.

Thursday: Open Play

Friday: Spicer for Missouri at 10:00 am, should be a great event. Scheduled to participate, Ozzie Smith, Tom Henke, and Neil Smith. Should be a fantastic event, only a few spaces remain.

Saturday: Open Play - Call for Tee times.

Wow.... a little light rain. Well.... how about 2.25 inches of light rain.

We are still good for tomorrow mornings VHS Booster Club Tournament. I think we should be ok with carts off paths, but can not confirm until morning.

We will be having a closest to the pin contest in the Tiger Practice facility starting at 8:15. We will choose a cool par three that is under 140 yards for everyone to try if they choose. $10 gets you 3 chances and the winner will get $100 gift certificate to the proshop. Of course, you can try as many times as you want, it is a fundraiser after all.

Remember to sign up for the Spicer for Missouri event on June 5th and the VHS Tiger Booster on May 30th. Both events should be near full. Looking forward to a couple excellent events.

What's happening:

Today: Men's and Ladies Leagues

Wednesday: Legion and Wednesday Night Golf and DInner, choice of Tuna Steak or Chicken. Please sign-up!!

Thursday and Friday: Open play, please call for tee times.

Saturday: VHS Booster Club - 9:00 am shotgun, please get a team together and support the Tigers.

Sunday: Open golf, remember weekend rules, members only tee times at the :00 and :10 of every hour and no groups larger than 4.

Next Week: Spicer for Missouri Event on the 5th. Get a team together and maybe you will get a chance to meet Ozzie Smith.

Also: if anyone is still needing to get a Callaway fitting, the Callaway fitters will be at Osage National on June 2nd (Tuesday) in the afternoon. Contact Steve if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity.

Thank you for an amazing Holiday weekend! Culminating in 25 teams playing in our Annual Memorial Day Scramble. We had some great play and a lot of happy golfers.

Thank you to the staff for all their hard work and to the grounds crew for making the course fantastic! Amazing work considering all the rain and storms.

This was a great way to start the summer.
