Shenandoah Valley Contra Dance SVCD is a non-profit dance organization in VA that hosts Monday Night contra dances once a month. If you can walk, you can contra!

Contra dancing is a form of dancing that is often described as the best of square dancing and swing dancing combined. You get to do-si-do and allemand, as well as swing ballroom style. Contra dancing and other folk dancing have been staples in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for decades. ntra Dance and the Monday Night Contra Dance. SVCD is a member of the national Country Dance and Song Society and is committed to community development and connection through dance.
