Wildcat Bluff Disc Golf Course is now part of the Benton County Conservation Foundation, making it a tax deductible 501(c)3. The foundation supports Benton County Conservation efforts by:
The general purpose of this organization is to promote preservation and enhancement of our natural resources through education and conservation, as provided for in Chapter 350 of the Code of Iowa, in the following manner:
1. Promote the conservation of natural resources through a variety of educational programs.
2. Conserve and protect unique natural areas.
3. Develop and maintain suitable programs of public recreation.
4. Serve the citizens of Benton County by assisting and interacting with other public service agencies.
The corporation shall fulfill its purpose by undertaking the following roles:
1. Serving as an organizational base for volunteers for conservation programs.
2. Helping raise funds for designated projects and educational projects of the Benton County Conservation Board (BCCB).
3. Advising the BCCB as to the needs of the community regarding programming.
4. Supporting and furthering the functions of the BCCB by serving as a vehicle for community involvement.
This is a great step in our continued efforts to help sustain the course and park for years to come. We appreciate all of our donors who have given generously throughout the years, thank you! The inclusion of the disc golf course as an option to donate within the foundation will allow our dedicated donors a way to contribute without having to visit the course and is tax deductible as well. If you’d like to donate while at the course, the donation post at hole 1 will still be there to accept monetary donations and we’re also working on a QR code for the kiosk.
Be on the lookout for future fundraising opportunities as they arrive. We’re working on a 20th anniversary T-shirt fundraiser and also taking donations for adding a second set of baskets.
