ASIS challenges how kids think about disability. Over 15,000 local youth have a new perspective. Adaptive sports in schools transform children’s perspectives on disability by shifting focus from limitations to capabilities, fostering empathy, and reducing stigma. By integrating students with and without disabilities on the same field, these programs replace pity with respect, building confidence and fostering a sense of community and equality.
