Well folks, here it is.
We're not quite sure where to even find the words. This image is what you'll find left of our Lin Van Lanes.
There are several unknowns as of right now. Our community has been so wonderful to us, we love you all dearly and we're glad we were able to provide a "place" for your life's adventures.
with that being said, and theres more to come, we would like to report what we do know, and more importantly what we can confirm.
1.) The Pennsylvania state association of arson investigation, along with the pennsylvania state fire Marshall have been on site, no official word yet as to the definate cause. We can't disclose exact details of how their investigation is executed, but we're firmly confident that if this was arson, they will find out.
2.) For our league players, pool players. We do not know yet what avenues we will have to pursue to replace your valuables. Please trust we will execute every action required to ensure you're taken care of. This will require some time, and all we ask is that you give us that to figure this out.
3.) We graciously ask that absolutely nobody passing by or stopping to look, enters the structure. If you want to stop on the roadside or view as you're passing by that is totally ok. but please keep significant distance.. We personally have not and will not enter until we're permitted to do so. This structure, until firmly on the ground, can not be considered safe to be around. This was already a tragedy. We do NOT need another one, and we can prevent that if you keep your distance.
4.) We all have full time jobs outside of lin van. We work night shift and we were at work last night when we recieved the call about our establishment. After speaking directly with the fire chief around 430 this morning, we were notified it took them only "minutes" to arrive on scene. That is confirmed. Erie news now made a mistake in reporting that it took 2 hours, i assure you after the conversation had with them they will do more research before making a statement like that again. The obviously very polite reccomendation given to them to stay in erie will hopefully stick through this situation and we wont have to deal with it again. Several of our local firemen are league bowlers, but more importantly, family and friends. Watching them execute the dismissal of this fire today showed their efficiency and class across several different departments. We can't thank the crews enough for their support in ensuring that this tragedy was taken care of, and that it didn't spread up the hill or make it to the neighbors house and evolve into something further.
